Aliens: Dark Descent Review

Every good horror starts with someone investigating panicked screams all by themselves.Aliens: Dark Descentis no different. The prologue begins with us venturing below deck to look into the commotion we saw on the failing security cameras, bringing nothing but a torch and some goodwill. We find facehuggers wrapping their tails around people’s necks, hatched eggs twisting the environment around them, and eventually, a lone xenomorph hunting for prey. They’re so terrifyingly strong that all we can do is hide, sneaking around to the exit—the game is teaching us to use the shadows and cover to our advantage....

TTRPGs inspired by video game RPGs are pretty common, given that the major changes are cosmetic; but there are also games that are unique, with a gameplay loop based on the video game itself, rather than a particular genre....

Crash Team Rumble Is A Dud But Good Lord Does It Shmove

Crash Team Rumble is a fundamentally flawed game, and I don’t think there’s anything that can be done to save it. I think that it’s unlikely that this $30 live-service game with an uninspired battle pass and weak gameplay is going to catch on, but there’s one aspect I hope survives this misguided endeavor: Crash can freakin’ move, boi....
