Honkai Impact 3rd,Genshin Impact, andHonkai: Star Rail. You’ve probably heard of these hit games that came from HoYoverse. And you’re probably more than familiar with its amazingly stylish and deadly characters. But wait, don’t some of these protagonists look a little familiar? Haven’t you seen them before in a musical world filled with voice banks?

By complete coincidence, some of these HoYoverse characters have ended up looking-like Vocaloid characters. From Vocaloid 2, which introduced the famous Hatsune Miku, to the lesser-known Vocaloid 5 with Haruno Sora, here are some awesome gacha characters and their Vocaloid counterparts.
10Macne Nana And Ai Hyperion Λ
Starting off is Ai Hyperion Λ and her Vocaloid twin, Macne Nana. When Ai Hyperion Λ dons her Chrono Navi suit, she takes on a similar color scheme as Macne Nana. Initially released as a voice bank for Mac users, Macne Nana made her big jump to the Vocaloid scene in 2014.
Besides their matching peace signs and long, flowing green hair, both Ai Hyperion Λ and Nana wear a black and white dress with ruffles on the bottom, a green bracelet on their wrists, and a black hairpiece on their head. Although their dresses are inverted colors of each other, it is close enough that you notice the similarities.
9Lumine And Kagamine Rin
By now, you probably recognize this wandering spirit. The protagonist of Genshin Impact, the traveler is on a mission to find their lost twin. Depending on which sibling you pick, you’ll be playing as or searching for Lumine. Now, who else hasblonde hair and a twin-like doppelganger? That’s right, Kagamine Rin.
Kagamine Rin and her counterpart Kagamine Len were both released for Vocaloid 2. Rin and Lumine might not have the same default costume, but Rin has several modules fromProject Divathat look like a Lumine cosplay. Like her Apprentice Magician module or her Fairy Dress!
8Kasane Teto And Bronya Zaychik
What do Bronya and Teto have in common? What traits do these two girls share? If you guesseddrilled-shaped pigtails, then you are correct. Although Kasane Teto is currently a voice for Synthesizer V, her origins are Vocaloid adjacent as she was originally a joke by the Vocaloid community.
Even though Bronya has several outfits, most of them feature those twin drills. Coupled with the near-identical split in her bangs, it’s hard not to think of Teto when looking at Bronya. All Bronya needs is a battlesuit that dyes her hair red, and she’ll be Teto-cosplay ready.
7Griseo And Aoki Lapis
An artist and a fighter, Griseo from Honkai Impact uses her powers to paint the town a vivid shade of light blue. You know who else wears blue? A character from Vocaloid called Aoki Lapis. Released for Vocaloid 3, Aoki Lapis is a fairy known for her floaty, high-pitched singing voice and mysterious background.

Besides their color schemes, Lapis and Griseo have matching azure hairstyles that consist of a shorter bob cut in the front with longer, pigtail-like strands in the back. The two also share a quiet, mysterious nature. One that makes you wonder what kind of secrets they are hiding.
6Megurine Luka And Elysia
The HoYoverse has its fair share of pink-haired protagonists. But, if you want a character that matches the famous Vocaloid singer Megurine Luka, draw your attention to Elysia from Honkai Impact. Elysia is another Honkai Impact figure with a hidden secret or two. But it’s no secret that Elsia looks like Luka.
Originally appearing in Vocaloid 2, Luka has been stealing hearts with her melodic voice since 2009. She and Elysia share the same flowing, light pink, banged hairstyle and (in Elysia’s Miss Pink Elf♪ battlesuit) matching blue eyes. All Luka needs is a bow, and she can team up with Elysia in the next battle.
5Durandal And Haruno Sora
Haruno Sora is one of those Vocaloids that have unfortunately slipped through the cracks. Part of Vocaloid 5’s lineup, Sora comes with two different voice bank options: her Natural and her Cool design. And Sora’s Cool design just so happens to resemble the cool and powerful Valkyrie Durandal from Honkai Impact.
These two can easily be mistaken for siblings thanks to their matching blonde, curly hair, and piercing blue eyes. Add some blue highlights, and Durandal could easily join the Vocaloid lineup.
4Ganyu And Meika Mikoto
What do Ganyu and Meika Mikoto have in common? Well, for one thing, take a look at their hair! With stylishly short in the front, long in the back styles (but don’t call it a mullet!), matching color schemes of blue and pink (in Ganyu’s eyes and Mikoto’s hair), and of course, horns protruding from their heads, you could easily mistake Mikoto for a younger Ganyu.
If you don’t recognize Meika Mikoto, she, alongside her counterpart Meika Hime was released for Vocaloid 5 and could give the Kagamine twins a run for their money. Alone though, Mikoto will have to settle for Ganyu as a singing partner.
3Mika Schmidt And Kagamine Len
A shy cartographer who knows how to land an icy critical hit, Mika Schmidt is a member of the Knights of Favonius. And, if you couldn’t tell already, it’s obvious who Mika’s Vocaloid counterpart is. With blue eyes, blond locks, and an identical tuft of yellow hair sticking out of their head, Mika’s copycat is none other than Kagamine Len.

Released alongside his mirror image, Rin, for Vocaloid 2, Kagamine Len has been harmonizing with all the other virtual singers for over a decade. Despite some minor differences, it’s very easy to picture Mika donning Len cosplay or vice versa.
2Faruzan And Hatsune Miku
You’ve probably predicted seeing this lookalike duo. From their matching, light teal-colored aesthetic, twin pigtails and bangs, and fashionable outfits, Faruzan and Hatsune Miku are two characters you could accidentally mistake for one another. In fact, Faruzan’s appearance looks like a special costume from a Project Diva game. Like for example, Miku’s Summer Memories module, her Sea Lily module, oreven her idol costume from Colorful Stage.
Despite these visual similarities, these two are opposites of each other. One’s a scholar, and the other is a performer. One is a voice program that has been singing nonstop since her Vocaloid 2 debut; the other was trapped for a hundred years. Differences.
1Kizuna Akari And Kiana Kaslana
Out of all the lookalikes, none are more identical than Kiana Kaslana from Honkai Impact and Kizuna Akari from Vocaloid 4. Especially when Kiana is wearing her White Comet battlesuit. When Kiana’s wearing this outfit, she can easily be mistaken for Akari’s long-lost twin sister.
Just look at them! Long, white, braided pigtails and bangs, blue eyes, and a black and white outfit highlighted by bright orange? Hand Kiana a microphone, give Akari a pair of pistols, and these two could switch places!
