One of the most requested types of content in anyFinal Fantasygame is Hunts. Luckily, they are back inFinal Fantasy 16. Like in most games, the Hunts are ranked by a letter system, with C being the easiest and S Rank being some of the hardest content in the game.

Not only are the Hunts a way to explore missed sections in the world and meet some of the most iconic monsters in the Final Fantasy series, but they can also provide you with materials to craft your next weapon of choice. Ready your blades for these menacing foes.
10Prince Of Death
By the time you unlock this Notorious Hunt, you have more than likely beaten up a couple of Fallen Lich enemies. Prince Of Death is simply a beefed-up version of those scythe-wielding Akashic monsters. One of the first A Rank hunts in the game, this demon can be toppled with a few good reads.
Prince Of Death is a fairly easy fight. He can teleport quite often, which can be frustrating, especially when trying to land combos, but once you get the rhythm of his Soul Harvest flurry attacks, this fight will be a breeze.
9Gizamaluk
This fast wind demon is not the hardest fight on the board by any means, but as an A Rank Hunt, Gizamaluk can give you some trouble if you don’t pay attention to its moves.
Gizamaluk is a straightforward fight with similarities to some of the Garuda encounters, but its biggest danger is one of its attacks that can drop AoE randomly throughout the area while charging at you at full speed. Other than that, the fight is quite simple, and since the enemy is mostly airborne, you can show off those midair combos you’ve been practicing.
8Thanatos
All of the A-Rank fights have a lot of similarities to enemies that you have previously encountered in the world. Thanatos is no different if you’ve already explored some of the Fallen ruins.

Thanatos may seem quite dangerous but the only thing you’ll have to watch out for is its Spirits Without attack. The monster will shoot a massive beam in front of it that can lock you in a combo, depleting your health quickly. An easy way to take Thanatos down is to stay close to it that way you can easily step behind to deliver your combos.
7Knight Of The Splendent Heart
Dragoons are one of the best jobs in Final Fantasy, so of course their appearance in Final Fantasy 16 would be notable. Knight Of The Splendent Heart is one of the elite warriors of the Holy Knights Dragoons from the Holy Empire of Sanbreque.
By the time you unlock this Notorious Mark, you have fought a couple of Dragoons, especially if you remember the one that invaded Phoenix Gate in the beginning, so this fight should be relatively simple. Just watch out for the flurry of jump attacks.
6Kuza Beast
There aren’t many Behemoths in Final Fantasy 16, but the ones you’ll findwill make you work for your victories. The Behemoth have always been a fearsome creature in the world of Final Fantasy and nothing has changed in this iteration.
The Kuza Beast is an odd-colored Behemoth you can encounter inside a colosseum. This beast can rush you with a heavy swipe attack and cast the mighty Comet spell that might spell trouble if you can’t time your dodge.
5Atlas
Once you start to step into the realm that is S Rank fights, you’ll really start sweating. In this fight against Atlas, you will test your mettle against a massive Fallen giant that can attack you no matter your position in the arena.

Golden Section is a move that Atlas loves to use and sadly for you, it can hit anywhere in the fight area. Make sure you can time your doge perfectly, especially right before he is taken down since Atlas can start combining moves.
4Gorgimera
Gorgimera is a dangerous Hunt to take up. This three-headed abomination can cast many AoE attacks that can be trouble if your movement is not in tip-top shape. If you have fought aCoeurlbefore, then this will be in your realm of expertise.
Both Delta Attack and The Ram’s Voice spawn many AoE puddles for you to bob and weave through and smack one of Gorgimera’s many heads until you can slay it. Do it quickly before you are burned to a crisp by its deadly fire and lightning attacks.
3Pandemonium
If you’ve met these Orcs already, then you know how much of a pain they are. Pandemonium can teleport and combo your limp body into oblivion if you are not careful.
They can be read quite easily, but for the teleport, so smacking him around until he becomes staggered could be easy as long as your button-mashing skills are up to par with the giant beast brought from the neighboring continent of Ash, brought over the sea by the tyrant King Barnabas of Waloed.

2Behemoth King
If you thought that the Kuza Beast was difficult, wait until you meet the King himself, Behemoth King. This monstrous beast is what the Kuza Beast wishes it could be. The King follows most of the patterns that most Behemoths in the game follow. It can set up AoE attacks while lunging at you to mistime your dodges.
It does have a few tricks up its sleeve. The Behemoth King can cast many AoE spells that will cover the entire fight arena, and once you whittle down its HP, it will cast multiple of them at once, including the ensnaring Maelstrom.
1Svarog
Hands down the hardest Notorious Mark in the game. This fearsome dragon has come handsome rewards behind him, but he will make you work for them. Svarog can spawn giant orbs that will track your movement and implode upon proximity, reminiscent of the shoot-em-up segments inNier: Automata.
Svarog, like every other S Rank Hunt, also has a plethora of AoE attacks that can be combined to make you dance on a layer of fire while you collect your bearings against the flying and difficult-to-reach dragon.
