The wait for the next chapter in the supernatural choice-driven Oxenfree series is over! It has an all-new story, with some connections to the first game, and introduces a whole new set of characters. The voice acting and narrative design was absolutely phenomenal in Oxenfree, and the voice acting here continues to be just as compelling.

Oxenfree 2: Lost Signalsfollows the adventures of Riley and Jacob in the Oregon coastal town of Camena, which neighbors Edwards Island, as strange events start occurring. With them come many chilling characters and voices you meet, and here you can meet their talented voice actors.

1Riley - Elizabeth Saydah

In Oxenfree 2, you’ll be playing Riley Poverly, a much older character than Alex and someone who becomes a mom. While she has a different perspective in life, she still has a lot about her past and future to confront while setting up transmitters on Camena. But she’ll always remain collected and persevere through all the frightening phenomena thrown at her.

The voice behind Oxenfree’s new protagonist is Elizabeth Saydah, who previously worked with Night School Studio on the sci-fi adventure game Next Stop Nowhere on Apple Arcade, where she voiced the deuteragonist Serra. She was also Myra Castellanos inThe Evil Within 2, and some of her other credits includeNeed For Speed: Paybackand Endless Space 2.

2Olivia - Abigail Turner

Olivia, you can say, is sort ofthe tragic antagonist of the game. Without revealing too much, she’s trapped in the loop on Camena with her friends like Riley and Alex from the previous game and is willing to risk it all for her parents. She’s initially quite irritated by your presence, and there lies much more mystery to her story.

Olivia is portrayed by Abigail Turner, an actress that’s been in tons of notable games. You might recognize her as Lindsay from the survival horror gameRemothered: Broken Porcelainand Rani’s space hauler partner Becks from the space exploration game The Gunk. Abigail also voices multiple characters inDislyteandMy Time at Sandrockand provides the voice of Cali in the comedy horror podcast Hannahpocalypse.

3Jacob - Joe Bianco

With you along for the journey to help with the transmitters in the eerie anomalous ghost-filled paths of Camena is Jacob. He’s your companion the whole game and a pretty cool dude that wears a warm Ushanka-type hat, and is pretty easygoing but can get a short temper with Olivia’s circle.

Joe Bianco is the phenomenal voice of Jacob Summers in Oxenfree 2. If you’ve playedStreets of Rage 4, you’ve probably beaten up waves of enemies with him as Axel Stone. Joe has also lent his voice to many indie game projects, such as Cloudpunk, Skyhill: Black Mist, andThe Wheel Of Enormous Proportions in Jackbox Party Pack 8. And he’s also previously starred alongside Elizabeth Saydah in Next Stop Nowhere as Wrench.

4Evelyn - Alaina Wis

Evelyn is your companion via your walkie-talkie’s seventh channel and also serves as the tutorial guide in the beginning part of the game. That’s because she’s leading the environmental project that contracted you and Jacob to gather data on Camena’s strange phenomena, and you report to her often.

Alaina Wis is the voice actress for Evelyn. She’s done voicework for many mobile games, including Mafia City, Mobile Legends: Adventure, and various games from mobile developer Do Games Limited, including Fatal Evidence 2, Christmas Spirit: Grimm Tales, and Spirit Legends: The Aeon Heart. You might’ve also encountered her as Candice in the wacky train horror gameChoo-Choo Charles.

5Hank - Glenn Rockowitz

The deserted town of Garland is one of the destinations you’ll need to travel to in Oxenfree 2. And while you’re in town, you’ll be contacted on your walkie-talkie through Channel Four by a 20th-century character named Hank, who will have a short and poignant side quest for you to complete.

Hank’s voice talent is the most interesting of the bunch. Glenn Rockowitz earns his first video game credit with this character, and he’s not known so much as an actor on-screen but as a voice for brands like T-Mobile, Xbox, and Alaska Airlines, as well as a writer and comedian who directed, wrote, and starred in the 2002 movie Hacks. He’s also been a writer for Saturday Night Live.

6Supporting Roles

Oxenfree 2 has plenty more compelling new supporting characters that each affect the story in some way. You’ll now be able to meet Maggie Adler in the 1950s and see Riley’s relationship with her father and her son Rex. Olivia’s friends Charlie and Violet are also well-developed and stand out, along with the other characters contacting you via walkie-talkie channels or radio.

What’s even more amazing about them is that their actors are newcomers and have few voice-acting credits and not much online presence yet. For some, this is their first credit!

7The Original Cast - Alex, Jonas, Clarissa, Nona

The game being a direct sequel, you knew the original cast would show up at some point in the story, and they do. You have a brief transmission from Alex in the introduction, but she’ll return later in the game to play a major role. You’ll also hear from Jonas, Clarissa, and Nona.

Alex is voiced by Erin Yvette, who’s voiced characters in Telltale games, such as Snow White in The Wolf Among Us, Vicki Vale inBatman, and Molly inThe Walking Dead, and she played Shael inHorizon Forbidden West. Jonas' voice actor Gavin Hammon was Kenny in Telltale’s The Walking Dead, Mirror Mirror in The Wolf Among Us, and Vigo inDiablo 4.

Avital Ash is a comedian, writer, and actress voicing Clarissa. While she’s only been in the Oxenfree series and Night School Studio’s Afterparty, you may see her in FX’s Cake, HBO’s Barry, and her virtual series Passover.Gay (or Antisocial Distance). Nona is voiced by Britanni Johnson, best known for her role as Angel in theBorderlandsseries.
