Surviving the horrorsof Amnesia: The Bunker requires a combination of active mind, stealth, and strategic thinking because any place in the shelter is not safe. The beast that resides inside the bunker will never leave you alone and will always try to haunt you. So, make sure to adapt the right strategies and escape the heart-pounding nightmares of the thrilling place without losing your life.
The beast is sensitive to sound and will spawn in areas experiencing too much of a disturbance. You already know that noise attracts the monster, but also know that the attraction of the beast depends on the type and level of noise. Each type of noise in the game comes with different consequences.
Most of the minor actions you perform, such as moving objects, cranking up your flashlight, and closing doors, will produce comparatively less sound. The chances of the beast appearing due to these noises are smaller. However, loud noises, such asfrag grenade explosionsand gunshots, will make the monster emerge immediately. More middle-of-the-road noises, like throwing a large stone to break a doorway, may or may not attract the creature, so be cautious and attentive when trying that. Always keep a low profile and avoid doing anything too noisy unless you have to.
6Keep Track Of Hiding Places
While exploring the shelter, keep an eye out for suitable hiding spots. They are crucial for saving your life when the monster is near you. Always note the location of tables, closets, or any other objects that can conceal your presence.
Whenever you sense the presence of the beast around you, do not attempt to outrun it. Sprinting makes noise, after all. Instead, try to get inside a hiding spot and wait until the danger is gone. The beast will search in the area for quite a while. But if you do not make any noise and wait, he will eventually go away.
5Lure Beast Away From You
Sometimes, playing some tricks will help you get away from the monster. If you want to go to a particular area in the Bunker and you’re afraid of spawning the beast, purposefully lure him away from that area with noises and other distractions. If he’s in your way, throw bottles or flare off in the opposite direction. Make noises down one hallway so that you can quickly sneak by down the other.

You can also lure him to completely different areas. To do that, head far away from the area where you actually want to go and start making some noise to attract the beast. Throw large objects, crank your flashlight, throw a grenade, or drop a flare. Once the beast follows the sound, stealthily make your way back to where you initially wanted to go. While not fool-roof, it will keep the beast distracted somewhere else for a good while, unless you make loud noises.
4Do Not Panic If You See The Beast
If you catch sight of the beast, it does not mean you have to engage immediately and start wasting your bullets. There might be a chance that the monster has not noticed you yet.
The beast will always roar once it has noticed you. Use that moment to confirm if you’ve been spotted, and take advantage of the roaring animation to run away.
Most of the time, when the monster appears at the sight of the disturbance, it starts to investigate and look for the cause of the noise. If you manage to stay hidden and not get noticed by the monster, then you’re pretty safe. The best thing to do during this situation is to crouch and stay out of direct sight of the beast.
3Be Alert About Monster Presence
While progressing through the storyline, you always have to be active to look out for the beast to take appropriate actions immediately. Fortunately, there are telltale signs of where it is. When the monster is near you, you’re able to hear his footsteps and growls. Lights near the beast will flicker and be unstable. Use this to determine its approximate location.
If the beast gets really close to you, your vision gets distorted and it makes a loud roar. That’s when it’s time for fight or flight as the monster will start attacking you. Also, if you notice dust coming out of a hole, verify to get out of that room as quickly as possible, as the monster is about to crawl out of it.
2Entice The Beast Into A Trap
In Amnesia: The Bunker, you can find many booby traps pre-placed on the ground that will activate if you step on them. Although you can disarm the booby traps with wire cutters to get them out of your way, you can also use them against the beast to slow him down.

If the beast is near you, escape him by making him follow you into the trap. As you reach the trap, you’re able to jump over it while the monster triggers the explosion. The beast will probably get scared away and crawl into one of his holes, giving you a chance to escape.
1Cover The Holes And Stay Behind Metal Doors
Fortunately, you can use the surrounding equipment, such as crates, chairs, or other furniture items, to block the holes from where the monster crawls out. Blocking the passage slows down the monster and gives you a few more precious seconds to escape the situation successfully.
Also, make sure to always keep in mind that Administration Room is your all-time safe room where the beast can not follow you around. The safe room doors are made of steel that will keep the monster away from you. Just always make sure to close the doors and lock them when you’re inside the room. Other metal doors can be found throughout the bunker, but they need to be locked to be effective.
