InDiablo 4, playing through the campaign with a friend is easier than ever. Thanks to the game’s level scaling system, you and your friend can slay demons across Sanctuary together, even at opposite ends of the level spectrum.

If you’re starting out in Diablo 4 and looking for some of the best class duos to try out with a friend, you’ve come to the right place. Below, you can find some of our suggestions for the best pairs of classes to play in Diablo 4, listed in no particular order.
Keep in mind that any combination of classes can work well together, so if none of these combos speak to you, you can’t go wrong choosing your favorites!
8Sorcerer And Rogue
The Sorcerer and Rogue duo is one of the most powerful pairings in Diablo 4. The Sorcerer and Rogue can both use Cold-based damage, so builds that use this element can provide tons of synergy to each other. Specifically, the Sorcerer can use ice skills to freeze enemies, while the Rogue gains damage bonuses against frozen and chilled enemies with its Cold Imbuement.
Using this setup, the Sorcerer plays more of a support and area damage build, while the Rogue focuses on high single-target damage. These two classes synergize exceptionally well together thanks to their shared Cold damage, making them one of the best duos for blazing through the game.
7Barbarian And Druid
Barbarian is a staple in a lot of duo setups in Diablo 4 thanks to its powerful Shouts that buff nearby allies. Using these shouts, you can really pair the Barbarian with any other class, but one of the best combos is with the Druid.
The Druid has a lot of Crowd Control built into its skills, which can help mitigate damage to the already-tanky Barbarian. When paired together, they will almost never die, especially when utilizing the Barbarian’s Shouts and Druid’s Debilitating Roar and Werebear transformation. If you’re playing a Hardcore character, this is one of the best class setups for survivability.
6Druid And Sorcerer
As mentioned above, the Druid has some of the best supporting abilities in the game, which pair very well with the Sorcerer’s high damage potential. Using Glass Cannon on a Sorcerer increases the damage they deal but also increases the damage they take. However, this can be offset by the powerful buffs and debuffs provided by a Druid.

Plus, both of these classes can use lightning damage, further increasing their synergy. While it’s not necessary to build around lightning damage for both classes, it can be a nice flavor bonus for players wanting to stick with a common theme.
5Druid And Necromancer
Similar to the Barbarian and Druid pairing, Druid and Necromancer work very well through the leveling process of Diablo 4. The Necromancer is one of the best solo classes, as it is able to use minions for tanking damage, curses to debilitate enemies, and corpses for powerful area attacks.
When paired with the Druid’s survivability and debuffs, these two will not find themselves dying very often. Although they don’t have any elemental overlap in their skills, Druid and Necromancer’s buffs and debuffs ensure the enemy doesn’t stand a chance.
4Barbarian And Rogue
Barbarian and Rogue, despite having almost nothing in common, work surprisingly well together. By combining the defensive support of the Barbarian with the offensive abilities of the Rogue, you have a combination that can bring down anything the game can throw at it.
The Rogue is especially good at inflicting Vulnerability, which the Barbarian has a much harder time doing. When you factor in the Barbarian’s Shouts to buff up the Rogue’s, on average, weaker defenses, it’s easy to see how these two classes work so well together.
3Barbarian And Sorcerer
Barbarian and Sorcerer is a classic pairing that seeks to balance the strengths and weaknesses of each class. Where the Barbarian is melee-focused, the Sorcerer can deal damage from range. Similarly, the Sorcerer is much stronger in the early game whereas the Barbarian doesn’t shine until later on.

At first, this combo of classes seems to have nothing in common, but making up for each other’s weaknesses makes both classes shine. If you’re looking for a fun duo option that doesn’t rely on heavy synergy, the Barbarian and Sorcerer are a great choice.
2Necromancer And Sorcerer
The Necromancer and Sorcerer are a great pair of classes that can provide some unique synergies to one another. Using its minions, the Necromancer provides damage reduction and support, allowing the minions to tank damage for both players.
Plus, using Corpse Tendril, the Necromancer can frequently pull groups of monsters together, making it easier for the Sorcerer to hit them with their spells. These classes work best together against large groups of enemies, but can also tackle bosses with the right skill setups.
1Sorcerer And Sorcerer
Thanks to the incredibly versatile nature of the Sorcerer, even pairing two of them together can be a great option. With one Sorcerer using supporting Crowd Control abilities and the other focusing on high-damage area attacks, this combination remains strong throughout the game, and in a variety of different content.
If you want to make your way through Sanctuary as a couple of wizards, the dual Sorcerer duo definitely delivers. With tons of offensive and defensive support and high-damage options in both single and multi-target scenarios, this pair is sure to please.
