We’ve updated our guide to include all 81 Addison locations and more detailed info on where to find him, as well as info about the reward you get for finding all Addison locations.
This guide contains small spoilers for elements of Tears of the Kingdom.
How Do I Help Addison Hold Up Signs?
As you venture through Hyrule, you’ll see a lone man trying to support a broken sign. This isAddison, an employee of Hudson Construction who is passionate aboutnot letting the signs he’s building hit the ground.
The first time you see Addison will be fairly early, as you leave Lookout Landing to find Captain Hoz at Hyrule Castle on direction from Purah when you first land in Hyrule.
However, Addison can’t do this project on his own -his signs are broken, and he needs your help making sure the glory of President Hudson can stand tall.
When you speak to Addison, you’re able to tell him tolet go of the sign, and by default, the sign will fall out and hit the ground, prompting panic from Addison.
In order to help Addison with his frustrating sign construction (seriously, this man is going to buildhousesafter this?), you’ll need to make ample use of your newUltrahand ability. Sure, players are using it totorture Addison instead, but if you help him, he’ll offer you anassortment of loot.
Every time you find Addison, you’ll also find a nearby platform ofcomplimentary building materials, provided so kindly by Hudson Construction, Addison’s company.
Fuse these materials and use them to support Addison’s sign. You can’t fuse the materialstothe sign, but you canset them on the ground in a way that the sign will stay standingwhen Addison lets go.
When you’re all set with your build, tell Addison to let go of his sign. He hesitantly listens, andhe rewards you if his sign stays standingafter he’s dropped his grip on it. He’ll remark,“H-he’s standing?“to let you know when this has been achieved.
Below are all the rewards we’ve received by helping Addison. You’ll receivethree of these itemseach time you help Addison.

Tips To Keep President Hudson Standing
The mission to help Addison would be too easy if all the signs were broken in the same way, though, so you’ll find anumber of problems with Addison’s signseach time you see him.Your designs will not often be pretty, but they don’t need to be -they just need to hold up the sign.
Addison’s signs, terrains, and available materials will be different each timeyou see Addison, so be sure to check out the signbeforetrying to fix it. Keep in mind thatthe sign will almost always fall opposite of Addison.
You’ve likely noticed before running into Addisonhow finicky the physics engine isin Tears of the Kingdom, so rushed signs won’t typically work.
That said, the sign only needs to stay up for a few secondsto wow Addison into finishing the construction.
Players have had the best luckusing large boards for a flat baseon which to attach their other materials. This provides you with astable, flat ground, which might not always be where Addison is building his sign.
you may alsouse the environmentto help, too - anything likeboulders, snowballs, or anything you can grab with Ultrahandis a viable piece of the solution.
Butyou aren’t limited to the provided building materials or the environmentwhen helping Addison, though. If you have anyZonai devicesthat can help out, you’re free to use them.
Whether it’s conventional uses likeStakefor support, or amore “creative” solution, the option is always on the table.
If you find a configuration that works well with Addison’s signs, save it in your Autobuild catalogfor faster construction later on.
