These challenges serve as your main source of XP and Bright Dust throughout the season, allowing you to level the Season Pass incredibly fast. The first few Seasonal Challenges for Season of the Witch are fairly easy, albeit more of a time sink than one might expect. This guide will cover how to complete all seven challenges this week and the rewards you can expect from each one.
Acolyte’s Ascent I:Complete Week 1 of “The Bladed Path” quest.
Reward
“The Bladed Path” is the main questline for Season of the Witch. This quest is obtained right after you log in and complete the introductory seasonal mission. If you didn’t complete this mission, you can boot it up from the H.E.L.M. Finish this mission and the steps listed in the quest chain to finish this Seasonal Challenge. The objectives simply ask you to participate in this season’s new activities.

Adept Arcana
Adept Arcana:Complete Major Arcana quests to collect your Deck of Whispers.
Adept Arcana requires you tocomplete five Major Arcana quests. These quests are obtained by findingOpaque Cardsfrom this season’s new activities—Savathun’s Spireand the Altars of Summoning. Cards can also drop from ritual content like Vanguard Ops and Crucible matches.
After you find a card, head to the Lectern of Divination at the H.E.L.M. to uncover the card’s properties. The first five cards in the top row are what you’ll need to decrypt.Major Arcana cards, the Legendary ones, require you to complete a short quest to acquire the card itself. They can be found in your Quests tab, most of which require you to play seasonal content. In essence, you’ll want to farm seasonal content to get cards, visit the Lectern to decrypt them, and then enter a seasonal activity to complete their short questline.
Witch’s Spoils
Witch’s Spoils:Open chests in Savathun’s Spire or the Altars of Summoning. Earn bonus progress by opening chests with Witch’s Keys.
Completing any activity from Season of the Witch will award items from Hive chests, dropping Hive Offerings and other seasonal rewards. You’ll need to open chests in Savathun’s Spire or Altars of Summoningto finish this challenge, the exact amount varying based on how many Witch’s Keys you own. On average, most players will need tocomplete roughly 15-20 activitiesto finish this challenge, although any chests opened with Witch’s Keys seem to give substantially more progress. Keys may be earned from the Season Pass and rarely from completing ritual content.

Master Conjurer
Master Conjurer:Collect offerings, which are used to summon combatants in the Altars of Summoning. Additionally, complete Altars of Summoning encounters. Higher difficulty encounters grant bonus progress.
This Seasonal Challenge has two objectives tied to it. You’ll need to:
Hive Offeringsdrop from Savathun’s Spire and Altars of Summoning reward chests, both of which drop bonus loot if you have a Witch’s Key in your inventory. Offerings are categorized into three rarities: feeble, robust, and powerful. All offerings grant the same amount of progress for the first half of this challenge.
Altars of Summoning encountersare tuned based on the Hive Offering you present. Before the start of each encounter, you may present an offering to dictate the difficulty. The rarer the offering you present, the harder it’ll be.Consequently, the encounter will grant additional progress toward the next reward chest and the second half of this Seasonal Challenge.Powerful Offerings grant the most progress. For most fireteams, we recommend using Robust Offerings. You’ll only need to complete ten encounters, and the encounter difficulty won’t be too difficult for most matchmade groups.
Taking All Challenges:Complete weekly playlist challenges.
Rewards
Similar to previous seasons, Taking All Challenges requires you tocomplete Pinnacle Gear challenges in the Vanguard Ops, Crucible, and Gambit playlists.Bungie made some slight tweaks to these challenges in Season of the Witch to make this a more straightforward process. These challenges are now tiered and connected together, providing a Pinnacle drop every three games, up to nine games per week.
For example, if you want to complete this challenge but hate Crucible, you can play nine Vanguard Ops, nine Gambit matches, or a mix of the two to finish the challenge.Vanguard Ops no longer requires you to use a specific subclass element, so this is an incredibly easy Seasonal Challenge to complete passively.Focus on increasing your Power Level, and this challenge should practically finish itself.

Round And Round We Go
Round and Round We Go:Generate Orbs of Power in Vanguard, Gambit, or Crucible playlists.
This challenge’s high XP payout is due to the challenge’s massive requirement. You will need to generate 1,000 Orbs of Power to finish this challenge. The good news is that any Orbs of Power, big or small, grant progress. Bear in mind thatonly Orbs generated in Vanguard Ops, Crucible, and Gambit count;seasonal activities, dungeons, raids, and patrol content will not count.
It’s best to focus on spawning Orbs of Power throughhigh Super uptime and ability-centric builds. For example, a melee build that uses the Heavy Handed mod can easily spawn 80+ Orbs of Power in a single Battleground.Roaming Supers withthe Power Preservation modcan also blast through this challenge rather quickly, as that mod lets you spawn small Orbs of Power on Super kills without any limit. As for the playlist, farm Vanguard Ops or Gambit.
Precision Calibration
Precision Calibration:Calibrate marksman weapons—Scout Rifles, Sniper Rifles, and Linear Fusion Rifles—by landing precision final blows. Bonus progress against Guardians.
Precision Calibration requires you toland 200 precision kills with Scout Rifles, Sniper Rifles, and Linear Fusion Rifles. The activity you do this in doesn’t matter, although PvP activities will grant more progress. We generally recommend completing these while focusing on other Seasonal Challenges or seasonal grinds.Equip a good Exotic Scout Rifle and farm Altars of Summoningif you want to get this done quickly. Some good options include Dead Man’s Tale, Polaris Lance, and Touch of Malice.
