The third set of Seasonal Challenges forDestiny 2’sSeason of the Deep can now be completed, awarding a large chunk of XP and Bright Dust. This week’s challenges are fairly straightforward, requiring players to farm Salvage and Deep Dive activities while using certain weapon archetypes. So long as you don’t mind swapping weapons and playing ritual content, this is a great week for earning Season Pass XP.

Defeating Champions, commending fellow Guardians, and defeating targets with SMGs are a few challenges available this week. This guide will showcase all Seasonal Challenges, their rewards, and provide tips on how to complete every challenge as quickly as possible.
Into The Depths III
Into the Depths III:Complete the Week 3 “Into the Depths” mission.
Reward
As with previous weeks, this challenge requires you toprogress the “Into the Depths” seasonal quest.If you haven’t started this quest yet, an introductory mission will take you to Titan when you log into the game. If you haven’t completed this mission, it’ll be found in the H.E.L.M. menu. Complete the listed steps until the Seasonal Challenge is finished.

Front Line Salvager III
Front Line Salvager III:Complete Salvage or Deep Dive activities while wearing any Season of the Deep weapon. Additionally, defeat targets with Arc or Strand damage anywhere in the system. Guardians grant additional progress.
Front Line Salvager requires you tocomplete three Season of the Deep activities with any seasonal weapon equipped, and you must kill 50 enemies with Arc or Strand damage.The second objective is quite easy and can be done in any activity,not just Salvage. Trinity Ghoul and Riskrunner are great options if you need a good add-slaying weapon.
As for the first objective, you’ll need to use any of the Reckoning or Taken variants introduced this season to receive credit. Rapacious Appetite and Targeted Redaction are solid options. The Season Pass Exotic, Centrifuse, is also a great option if you don’t mind giving up your Exotic slot.
Depth Charge:Defeat bosses in Salvage activities.
Defeat five Salvage bossesto finish the Depth Charge challenge. Completing five runs is going to take a while, so we recommend you work on the Front Line Salvager and Mid-Range Calibration challenges while completing your Salvage runs.

Short-Range Salvager
Short-Range Salvager:Defeat targets with Submachine Guns or Swords. Defeated Guardians or combatants defeated in Salvage or Deep Dive activities grant additional progress.
Short-Range Salvager requires you todefeat 300 enemies with SMGs or Swords.Salvage and Deep Dive combatants grant double progress, so we highly recommend farming your kills there. As for weapon recommendations,you can’t go wrong with Osteo Striga, Riskrunner, or any 750 RPM SMG. If you want to use a Sword, consider using Lament to quickly kill majors and bosses.
Nessus Activities
Nessus Activities:On Nessus, earn progress by completing bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors.
Rewards
You’ll need to complete activities on Nessus to finish this challenge. Any activity on the destination will grant progress, but your fastest farm will becompleting Lost Sectors and bounties from Failsafe.Multitasking like this will greatly speed up this challenge. When you’re finished with all bounties, work on completing patrols and public events until the challenge is complete.
Commendation Appreciation
Commendation Appreciation:Earn progress for giving commendations in Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit activities.
Commendations are given out by all players at the end of any playlist or endgame activity. You’ll need togive ten Commendationsto finish this challenge. We recommendcompleting your weekly Pinnacle Gear sourcesin each activity and completing this in the background. Just remember to commend your fellow Guardians at the end of each activity, and this challenge should effectively complete itself.
Cosmic Churn
Cosmic Churn:Defeat Guardians in the Crucible. Bonus progress is granted for opponents defeated with Arc, Strand, and Void ability final blows.
Cosmic Churn requires you todefeat 50 Guardians in PvP.Arc, Strand, and Void ability kills grant bonus progress. Void and Arc have some amazing abilities you can use for easy kills. If you hate PvP and don’t want to farm 50 kills,wait until Momentum Control, Mayhem, or Team Scorched is active.These game types are incredibly fast, easy to play, and will count for this challenge.
Bank, Kill, Repeat
Bank, Kill, Repeat:Earn points by banking Motes, defeating Blockers, and defeating Guardians in Gambit.
Bank, Kill, Repeat grants points for efficiently playing Gambit. Banking Motes, killing Taken Blockers, and defeating enemy Guardians all grant progress. To get this done quickly, your best bet is tobank Motes and kill Blockers.Blockers grant a ton of progress for this Seasonal Challenge, and Motes are something you’ll be depositing dozens of each game. Focus on these two things, and you should have this challenge completed in two or three matches.

Ultimate Champion
Ultimate Champion:Defeat Champions in any Nightfall Strike on Hero difficulty or higher. Earn bonus progress at higher difficulty tiers.
In any Nightfall activity,defeat 60 Championson Hero difficulty or higher to complete this challenge. Higher difficulties will grant more progress for each Champion you kill, the most progress being awarded from Grandmaster difficulty. If you’re attempting this later in the season when GMs are available, we recommend farming those. If you can’t do GMs,run Hero if you prefer matchmaking or Master if you have a premade group.
Mid-Range Calibration
Mid-Range Calibration:Calibrate mid-range weapons—Hand Cannons, Glaives, Auto Rifles, and Machine Guns. Bonus progress is granted for defeating Guardians.
Mid-Range Calibration requires you todefeat 200 enemies with Hand Cannons, Glaives, Auto Rifles, or Machine Guns.Guardians grant more progress, but we find kill farms like Shuro Chi and the Grasp of Avarice opener work best here. For weapons,Machine Guns work best here. Any Legendary Machine Gun will work, although feel free to use an Exotic like Thunderlord if you don’t own a good Legendary MG. If you don’t own any Machine Guns at all, use a Glaive.
