It’s never too early to start shopping for the holidays, and it’s never a bad idea to buy a little something for yourself. As we turn the corner into the holiday season, you might be tempted to hold out on doing either of those until Black Friday when just about everything you want will be on sale somewhere.Amazonis giving you the chance to get the jump on Black Friday viathe return of its Big Deal Days sale event taking place on October 8 and 9.
Amazon cuts the price of thousands of products during Big Deal Days which is great, but it also means finding the deals you want can be tricky. That’s where we come in. We’ve tracked down some of the best discounts and split them into categories, andthis guide covers everything Pokemon. Pokemon Violet
Paldea is Pokemon’s newest region and was introduced to us via Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Violet is the game that leans more into Paldea’s future with Miraidon as your Legendary companion Pokemon and the other differences being Pokemon appearing that can’t be found in Scarlet.
New Pokémon Snap
A sequel to the Nintendo 64 classic, New Pokemon Snap is a form of safari game in which your job is to take photos of over 200 Pokemon across six different islands and over 20 courses. You are judged on your photos, which you can edit and share online.
Detective Pikachu Returns
Detective Pikachu Returns is the sequel to the Nintendo 3DS game. Releasing exclusively on Nintendo Switch, it takes place in Ryme City, where once again Pikachu must partner with Tim Goodman to solve a mystery.
When running down all of the gamesNintendohas that other platforms don’t, it’s easy to forget about Pokemon. Not because it’s not a big deal. AfterMario, and maybeZelda, it might be the biggest exclusive Nintendo has. It just always feels a little bit outside of the Nintendo bubble even though the Switch is the only place you can play Pokemon’s newest games. That also means Pokemon’s newest games are expensive and tend to stay that way.
Even Pokemon games have been discounted for Big Deal Days, and sure, most of the discounts above are minimal, but they’re still discounts nonetheless. The Switch has a strong library of Pokemon games and if there are any you haven’t played, now’s the time to pick them up and save $10 or $20 in the process.

Paldea Adventure Chest
The Pokemon TCG’s Paldea Adventure Chest includes seven foil promo cards, six boosters packs, and other items including a special squishy Pikachu, presumably a stress toy you can squeeze whenever you’re getting beaten using your new cards.

The Pokemon TCG’s Temporal Forces Elite Trainer Box gets you started with everything you’ll need. Inside the box are nine booster packs along with a foil promo card of either Iron Leaves or Flutter Mane. You’ll also find sleeves, energy cards, and more inside.
ThePokemon TCGhas become such a big and sprawling thing, whether you’re trying to get back in years later or picking it up for the first time, the sheer amount of options, and some of the prices attached, can be very intimidating. It doesn’t need to be that way, though. Just jump in wherever you like, and right now do that for less by picking up something on Amazon during its Big Deal Days event.
Elite Trainer Boxes are a great place to start or continue your love of the Pokemon TCG as they come with booster packs, foil promos, and more, and there are some on sale among the options above. If it’s not an ETB you’re after there might still be something that suits you above, and even if there’s not, keep checking back during the build to Big Deal Days and throughout the event as we’ll be adding new deals to every section all the time.
Squishmallows And Plushes
Charmander Plush
Charmander, the original fire starter, looking so happy that it almost seems as if its plush is jumping in the air. A product officially licensed by The Pokemon Company.
Lechonk Pokemon Plush
Introduced as a Pokemon native to Scarlet & Violet’s Paldea region, a popular plush as the pig is a Pokemon fans instantly fell in love with.
Sprigatito Pokemon Plush
It takes a special starter Pokemon to become well-loved at this stage in the series, and Sprigatito has managed that. So much so that it has replaced Pikachu as the lead partner Pokemon in the anime, and now you may have one as a companion in real life via this plush.
Teddiursa Squishmallow
Pokemon’s Squishmallow family has grown via the addition of Teddiursa. The teddy bear Pokemon appears over the moon to have been selected for Squishmallow duty.
Collecting cards and running around in video games in the eternal quest to catch ‘em all is all well and good, but for some, owning Pokemon in plush form is the best way to be a Pokemon trainer. It’s also the closest you can get to actually catching the Pokemon in real life. Sure,Pokemon Gokind of lets you do that, but where are those Pokemon when your phone is locked and back in your pocket?
The problem with Pokemon’s wide range of plushes andSquishmallowsis even though they don’t cost a huge amount, that cost will quickly start to add up if you want to own a lot of them. Whether you’re adding to a collection, you’ve noticed a Pokemon you love in plush form, or there’s a Pokemon above you’d like to buy for the Pokemon fan in your life, do it now and you’ll get that plush for less.

Pokemon doesn’t haveLegosets. That’s the bad news. The good news is it doesn’t have Mega sets. Mega is the Mattel-owned rival of Lego when it comes to sets made of toy bricks, and while it has a few licenses likeFalloutandHalo, Pokemon is the biggest name attached to the Mega brand. Whether it’s locations from the games or the Pokemon themselves, Mattel has already turned lots of Pokemon-themed stuff into Mega sets.
One thing Mega and Lego have in common is their sets can be pretty pricey. Whether you knew full well about Pokemon’s Mega collection or you’re just learning about it right now, you may bag some of Pokemon’s best Mega sets for less during Amazon’s Big Deal Days. Whether it be a Pokemon Stadium, a Pokemon Center, or a Pikachu that actually moves, they’ve all been discounted for a limited time.

Funko has turned one of the very first moments Pokemon trainers ever experience into a Deluxe Pop! Moment. Displayed inside the set’s hard case are Pop! versions of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. The best news is this time, you don’t have to choose just one. you’re able to have them all.
The games, the cards, the plushes. There are so many ways to catch ‘em all, but have you tried catching all of Pokemon’sFunko Pops? Unlike the games, collecting all of Pokemon’s Funko Pops isn’t as simple as filling a Pokedex. Some Pokemon have multiple Pops, and there are still plenty that haven’t been Funko-fied at all.
There are a lot of them to collect, though. Probably so many that if you’re just starting, it’s already impossible to get them all. If you ask me, that just makes it more fun as you’re able to pick and choose your favorites. Hopefully some of your favorites have made it into Amazon’s Big Deal Days sale. If they have, they’ll be featured in the boxes above.
