Grab some coffee - ideally without any train-ride tampering - and don’t mind the pink blood everywhere. Here’s Rain Code’s last hurrah, ‘And Then I Was Gone’.
And Then I Was Gone,
We begin our final journey in a dilapidated shack. There’s a singleinteractive objectfor quick DP in the next room. You’ll find Kurumi soon thereafter. Fun little zombie scene, followed by anescape sequence. If you run ahead toward the zombies, Shinigami will tell you to find an alternate route. Justhang a right through the side pathnearby.
Follow this path down toward the street, then turn left and Yuma will notice a building. Head in. Follow Shinigami’s route suggestion when Yuma and Kurumi have departed, but be ready topress ‘B’ in a QTEwhen Yuma approaches the priest. When the escape continues, be ready topress left on the analog stick. There’s a fairly rapid’X' button presssoon thereafter.
After the group’s tumble, keep going. There’s aSilver Memory Shardahead, near the numerous interactive objects on Yuma’s path forward. Inside the meat bun factory, when Yuma needs to decide how to handle the zombies up ahead, choose ‘Use sound’. Hurry ahead and pick up thetablet device.
Grab the nexttablet deviceto lure more zombies. Past the Fake Zilch scene, there’s a thirdtablet devicedown the opposite stairs of the latest zombie group. You’ll get some quick DP by examining theelectric lightpast the tunnel.
Revelations abound as we watch Yuma chat with all sorts of… interesting locals, but much of the chapter at this point consists of running through corridors, occasionally warped back to prior areas.
Cross the red bridge when you arrive at this area, keeping an eye out for theGold Memory Shardon the left path thereafter. Go to theMind-Cleansing Bathdoor. From here, the story gets even wilder; after the plethora of scenes, it’s time for the last Mystery Labyrinth.
Mystery Labyrinth, Part One
We suppose it’s entirely possible this is the first time you’ve read one of our guides on Rain Code’s Mystery Labyrinths, so we’ll repeat what we’ve said in the past! We like to keep these simple and clean, so to speak, with the answers to each portion of the dungeon spelled out plainly. Few frills, just thrills. That way, you can enjoy the Labyrinth in full, but tilt your detective’s gaze this way whenever you’re stuck!

Don’t panic if things seem… obtuse. We’ll get you through!
What Does The Final Choice In Rain Code Change?
So, the answer’s simple -nothing actually changes. That’s becauseYuma has an enhanced version in his mind that requires neither absolute choice be made, though it doesn’t really enter his (Koko)head for good until after you, the player, have chosen.
While some might see this as a copout, Master Detective Archives: Rain Code’s always been more of a solve-it game than a choose-it game, if you know what we mean. There’s a canon ending, too, which is great if Master Detective Archives takes off and further adventures are created for this rad new world.
We hope you’ve enjoyed your time with Rain Code, and we sure do hope we’ve helped… Master!
