Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogyhas just been revealed at theCapcomshowcase, re-releasing three Ace Attorney games on modern platforms. The trilogy will feature Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice.
The games have mostly been left untouched, aside from being remastered with HD visuals. Aside from that, this trilogy simply allows fans to access these three games on modern hardware, having originally launched on theNintendo DSand3DS. Therefore, this is the first time that the games are coming to a non-Nintendoconsole, having only been ported to mobile prior to this.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will be playable on next-gen hardware, but it doesn’t appear that this will come with any unique benefits. Although this isn’t very surprising, given that this is simply a re-release of three older games.
Its appearance at the showcase was pretty light on details, and Capcom hasn’t revealed anything further now that it’s come to a close. We don’t even have a specific release date, just this early 2024 window that keeps everything pretty vague.
All in all, Capcom’s showcase was much quieter than the others we’ve seen throughout the week. There were no new, groundbreaking announcements, instead focussing on smaller updates on games we already knew were in development. Even this hardly gave us much in the way of new information, with theStreet Fighter 6trailer just serving to remind us that it’s available to buy now, and showing us the roadmap we’ve already seen. No DLC news just yet, I’m afraid.
While we still have some smaller events to get through, this was the last major showcase of the Summer Game Fest season. Or the Not E3 season, if that’s what we’re calling it. Judging from fan reactions, it seems that yesterday’s Xbox Games Showcase won in terms of hype, giving us trailers and breakdowns of anticipated games such as Starfield, Fable, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and much more. Ubisoft didn’t do too bad either, giving us a better look at the Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and the newly announced Star Wars: Outlaws.
As for Capcom’s showings, we’ll have to wait and see if it has anything else to share later on in the year. Many of us had higher expectations, believing we’d get a look at Resident Evil 4’s Separate Ways expansion, but that was a no-show. Still, this Ace Attorney news will make many longtime fans happy, so it’s not a bad note to end on.
