According to a reliablePersonainsider,Atlus"really wants" to make remakes of Persona and Persona 2 at some point in the future, even if it’s currently not working on any more remakes besides Persona 3 Reloaded.Yesterday,it was reported that Atlus currently doesn’t have any more Persona remakes in the works aside from the recently-announced Persona 3 Reloaded, which is allegedly because all of its focus is currently on Persona 6. The same leaker who shared that information, MbKKssTBhz5, has followed up those claims with some more details which suggest that Atlus is interested in remaking at least two more games from the series.Related:What Would Persona Even Look Like In A College Setting?Following those tweets, MbKKssTBhz5 clarified some of their claims about upcoming Persona projects, including giving more details on the long-rumoured fighting game. Although more information on that fighting game is certainly a good thing, the most interesting claim that they’ve now made is in regard to future Persona remakes.[EMBED_TWITTER]https://twitter.com/MbKKssTBhz5/status/1680381226408976384[/EMBED_TWITTER]In a tweet thread,MbKKssTBhz5 reiterated their claims that there are currently no other Persona remakes in the works at Atlus aside from Persona 3 Reloaded. However, they also stated that Atlus and Sega are “experimenting” with several different remake ideas across their various franchises, just that none of them are currently in production like Reloaded is. They then claimed that Atlus “really wants” to remake both Persona 1 and Persona 2.MbKKssTBhz5 said, “Atlus and Sega are experimenting with many remake ideas for different franchises. But there is nothing in end production like P3RE right now. Atlus really wants to make a P1/P2 remake.“Although it seems that no more Persona remakes are currently in the works, this could indicate that Atlus plans on eventually remaking most of the games in the series, including its earliest entires. Why it started with the third game in the series instead of right at the beginning is anyone’s guess, but it does bring up some interesting questions about what sort of form the remakes would take, and if the games would be heavily changed up to resemble more recent Persona games. Our guess is yes, considering how similar Reloaded looks to Persona 5.[EMBED_TWITTER]https://twitter.com/MbKKssTBhz5/status/1680381227503697921[/EMBED_TWITTER]I’m sure every other Persona fan wanting a remake of Persona 4 noticed this too, but it’s interesting that it’s not mentioned among the remakes that Atlus wants to make. Considering how different Persona and Persona 2 are to the rest of the series and how Persona 4 would seemingly be easier to remake in a similar manner to Persona 3 Reloaded, it’s strange that it’s seemingly not at the top of the priority list for Atlus.Next:Twitter’s Unsustainable Creator Monetisation Doesn’t Even Apply To Everyone Fairly
