Hug
Adds an extra Heart to you and your teammate’s Health Bar.
Vault over your teammate, increasing your Jump Distance.
Rope Drop
One player lowers a Rope off a platform, allowing their teammate to rappel down it to access new areas, gather Collectibles, and more.
Summon a teammate to you when you are submerged underwater.
Accessibility Options
In addition to the extra Co-Op Abilities, you canfurther tune the game to your liking via its Accessibility Options,which you can tinker with at any point in your playthrough.If you find yourself struggling, don’t be afraid to try out some of these settingsto make things more manageable.

Enable Assists for your Jump, Boost Jump, and Wall Cling.

How To Discover Hidden Areas
We touched upon the game’s strong focus on platforming a lot already, but you must be made aware of the game’sHidden Areas,whichhouse the game’s Collectibles,which can lead to some excellent bonuses for you, depending on what they are.
Whilethere are many Hidden Areasin Disney Illusion Island,they are all fortunately easy to spotonce you know what you’re looking for.Every Hidden Area will have a small notch removed,which you can see in the image provided above.
If you see an object in the environment with a similar-looking notch,navigate toward it to have the object disappear,revealing a whole new area to explore behind it. Upon discovering a Hidden Area,a small green bug will appear on the object,indicating you have already found it.
Collectible Priority
Remaining on the topic ofCollectiblesin Disney Illusion Island, while we’d love to tell you to try and gather everything you can at all costs,there are really only two you should focus on in the early goingsof the game, leaving the rest for the post-credits.
These two Collectibles areGlimts and Map Pieces,as they arethe only two Collectibles that directly impact your gameplaywhen gathering them.All other Collectibles have no tangible reward tied to them,making themexcellent for post-game cleanup.
Glimts
Glimtsare thefloating, blueish-bubbly things you will see scattered throughout the world, typically in groups of three.Collectinga specific amount of Glimts will reveal an image via the Glimts Reward screen.Once theentire image is complete, you will obtain an Extra Heartfor your Health.
Youcan earn up to three Extra Heartsvia collecting Glimts, so gathering all that you can should be your top priority in the game, asthere are no other ways to obtain Extra Hearts without using the previously mentioned Hug Co-Op Ability.
Map Pieces
Map Piecesareobtained by finding specific NPCs in each zoneand speaking to them. These NPCs aretypically found in Hidden Areas,sokeep your eyes peeled when exploring each zoneto better your odds of finding them!
While theMap Pieces won’t reveal Hidden Areason your Map,it will outline the rest of the zone for you,showcasing everywhere you have yet to exploreand giving you some idea of what all you may have left to do there.Finding Maps can be crucial when looking for the last few Glimts or Collectibles in a specific zone,so be sure to find them as early as possible!
Fast-Travel Availability
Finally, while you will have to go through the entirety of the game without this feature unlocked, you canFast-Travel between all Mailboxes(Checkpoints) in the gamewhen you reach the game’s final stretch.
Thismakes it much easier to clean up the rest of the Collectiblesin the game, especially if you shifted your focus purely to Glimts and Maps,making things much more manageable if you’re looking to 100 percent the gameand see everything it has to offer.
Even if it comes at the final moments of your journey, we cannot stress enough how valuable this action is in Disney Illusion Island, as itenables you to tackle everything you have left to do at a lightning-fast pace.If you’re dreading going through each zone for the remaining Collectibles, this will hopefully alleviate that tension for you!
There are TONS of Mailboxes in the game, so you will have access to nearly everywhere at the press of a button once this action becomes available to you, making it well worth the wait!
