Summary

League of Legends’Soul Fighter event introduced a rotating game mode that turns this classic MOBA into an all-out team-based brawl. Instead of competing in large 5v5 battles, this Arena splits everyone into four teams, made up of two players each.

Once you have selected your characters and bought some starter items, you will be randomly sent to a small map to battle it out with one of the three other teams. As this is a rotating game mode, many powerful augments completely rework how your character functions, allowing for dazzling compositions and exciting gameplay. If you are curious about which combinations of champions will help you secure first place, then check out the list below.

Updated Jul 20, 2025, by John Wildermuth:Arena has made a return as a rotating game mode in League of Legends, this time released with a fresh batch of Winterblessed skins. Along with these skins, Arena has introduced a new revive mechanic, which allows you to bring back your fallen teammate by standing next to where they were defeated. Overall, the best way to ensure victory is still picking the correct team composition, so we have updated this list to include even more of the best Arena teams.

13Alistar And Poppy

Push Your Enemies Into The Flames

Some of the most annoying champions you can play in the Arena game mode consist mostly of tanks that use their abilities to push their opponents around. While this is typically used to support ADCs in a regular match of League of Legends, tanks such as Poppy and Alistar can push their opponents into the fiery barrier on the edge of the arena.

As the match progresses, the flaming barrier on the outskirts of the arena will slowly close in, just like aFortnitematch. The best way to win with these champions is to attempt to outlast your opponents as the barrier closes, then use your CC to push them outside the safe zone.

Stack Health And Continually Revive

The Winterblessed iteration of Arena has introduced the revive mechanic, allowing you to resurrect a fallen teammate after a short amount of time. When your teammate falls, they will create a glowing circular area that you may stand in to activate the resurrection.

Using tank champions such as Cho’Gath and Trundle makes reviving easier, since they have large amounts of health and will not likely fall while channeling the revive. Also, keep in mind that when you are brought back from the dead you respawn with only a portion of your health, meaning that tanks with large health pools are significantly more advantageous to revive.

11Samira And Sett

Utilize Combos For Massive Damage

As two of the most famous Soul Fighters, it is no surprise that both Sett and Samira excel at winning their matches and becoming the champions of the arena. By combining these two characters together, you can generate some seriously impressive combos all while looking stylish inSamira’s new ultimate skin, especially because Samira can use her passive to juggle her opponents, extending the CC duration of Sett’s grab.

To ensure your success, Sett should focus on building tank items and providing peel for Samira, so she can improve her rating and activate her ultimate ability for maximum damage. Finally, if you are playing as Samira, you should seriously search for the Blade Waltz augment, as you’re able to activate your ultimate and the augment at the same time, entering your opponents like Master Yi while your ultimate is casting.

A split image from League of Legends of the champions Cassiopeia and Twitch. Cassiopeia is a human and snake hybrid, while Twitch is a living sewer rat that loves poison.

10Cassiopeia And Twitch

Apply Devastating Poison

As two of the few champions in the game that apply poison, it is no surprise that these two toxic champions synergize so well in the Arena game mode. Specifically, Cassiopeia is a mage who can deal enhanced damage with her abilities when her opponents are poisoned.

Twitch is almost like an ADC version of Cassiopeia, but he applies poison with all of his auto attacks, and can then deal a large instance of damage against poisoned targets. Since both of these characters rely on poison to deal increased damage, they can use each other’s abilities to increase their own capabilities, shredding through their opponents in a matter of seconds.

A split image from League of Legends of the champions Ivern and Annie. Ivern is a large, living tree while Annie is a small girl with fire magic and an animated teddy bear.

9Ivern And Annie

Summon Multiple Monsters

Ivern and Annie can be an incredibly potent combination, so long as one of them gets a specific augment. Since both of these champions have an ultimate ability that summons an entity to deal damage and fight for them over an extended period of time, they can essentially increase their team size to four instead of two.

However, their composition becomes increasingly dangerous when you get the augment named Ultimate Revolution, which allows you to cast your ultimate ability twice. With this augment activated, Annie or Ivern can summon two versions of their ultimate simultaneously, overwhelming their opponents with large amounts of CC and damage.

A split image from League of Legends of the champions Nilah and Karma. Nilah wields water to strike her foes, while Karma uses spirit magic to cleanse her enemies.

8Nilah And Karma

Heal While Dealing Damage

While Samira is an ADC champion who synergizes with tank supports, Nilah is an ADC that works best alongside enchanter supports such as Karma. Specifically, Nilah’s passive automatically boosts the healing and shielding she gains from her allies, while also sharing a small percentage of the heal with the person that originally cast the ability.

This is an incredibly powerful passive in the Arena game mode, as there are several augments that boost the amount of healing you can share with your ally, essentially allowing Karma to use her empowered W to fully heal herself and Nilah with just one ability. Furthermore, Nilah can also gain augments that increase her attack range, turning her into a ranged ADC that can dish out massive damage and heal from a safe distance.

A split image from League of Legends of the champions Vayne and Lulu. Vayne is a demon hunter who wields a crossbow, while Lulu is a small yordle that uses magic to help her allies.

7Vayne And Lulu

Shred Through Tanks

As anon-hit ADC, Vayne excels in the arena mode because many players enjoy picking only tank champions in an attempt to stall out every round. By playing Vayne alongside enchanter supports such as Lulu, you will be able to enhance Vayne’s damage while protecting her from dangerous CC abilities.

Vayne should focus on leveling your W ability as quickly as possible since it makes your auto-attacks deal increased true damage based on a target’s maximum HP. When selecting your augments, Lulu should pick anything that boosts her shielding and support capabilities, while Vayne should select augments that boost her damage, attack speed, and on-hit effects.

A split image from League of Legends of the champions Kayle And Taric. Kayle is an ascended angel, while Taric also ascended by climbing up the incredibly high Mount Targon, thus giving him powers.

6Kayle And Taric

Utilize Ultimate Immunity

Kayle and Taric may not fight for the same causes, but their ultimate abilities are startlingly similar. Kayle can cast her ultimate on herself or an ally to become completely immune to all damage and abilities in the game while also dealing auto-attack damage before she crashes down and deals a large instance of AP damage.

Taric also has an ultimate that grants immunity to damage after a short charge duration. This team composition becomes incredibly potent if you unlock Ultimate Revolution, which allows you to cast your ultimate twice and ensure two instances of invulnerability.

A split image from League of Legends of the champions Shaco And Teemo. Shaco is featured in his new Soul Fighter skin, and Teemo is a small yordle that plants mushrooms around the map.

5Shaco And Teemo

Create Dangerous Minefields

Although both of these champions are commonly banned, there are rare occurrences where both of these terrifying creatures will be available to play. On their own, either Teemo or Shaco are incredibly annoying and cumbersome to deal with, as they litter the battleground with invisible traps and bombs that will melt your health bar.

When paired together, your enemies will be completely unable to walk up and fight you, as the entire area will be littered with invisible death traps. If you create a team out of these two characters, then be sure to pick augments that increase the damage of your spells or anything related to applying burn.

A split image from League of Legends of the champions Zyra and Heimerdinger. Zyra is a living plant, while Heimerdinger is a small scientist that places turrets around the map.

4Zyra And Heimerdinger

Summon An Army Of Turrets And Plants

Zyra and Heimerdinger are two champions that would simply never get along with one another in the game’s lore, as one is a well-renowned scientist. At the same time, the other is a living plant with a vendetta against humanity. With that being said, both of these champions create turrets or plants that attack enemies independently, meaning they can fill up the arena with their respective abilities and inflict burns from a safe distance.

A successful Zyra and Heimerdinger team will be able to kite their opponents, or consistently stay at a safe distance, all while placing their plants and turrets that deal massive amounts of damage over time. For both of these characters, we suggest picking augments that will boost your AP damage, or deal even more burn damage over time.
