How To Train Your Party

Each party memberis a valuable part of your team andshould be properly leveled upto ensure they know all the right skills.Use the Sotenbori Battle Arena to gain levelsat your own pace by challenging each set of five floors.

Change your party members' jobs to learn a variety ofelemental skills.

Ichiban, Joon-Gi Han, Saeko, Nanba, Adachi, and Zhao prepare to fight in Yakuza: Like A Dragon.

Male characterscan learn elemental skills from theHost(Ice),Foreman(Fire), andFortuneteller(Electric) jobs.

Female characterscan learn elemental skills from theHostess(Ice) andNightqueen(Fire) jobs.

Who Are The Best Party Members?

Your party is constantly expanding in Like A Dragon, soyou may not have access to every party member if you have not completed the game.

The final party member will beZhao, so know that once youunlock him in Chapter 11, you’ll have your full roster.

Eri Kamataki is a secret party member thatcan be unlocked by playing the Ichiban Confections minigame, located in the west of Isezaki Ijincho, north of Hamako’s bar.

Saeko is your resident healerand can even debuff your foes to boot. Her Lovedrunk Typhoon reduces the defense of all enemies and has a chance to Charm them.

Her turns should focus on healing the party before anything else. Her attacks can pack a surprising punch,especially her Hostess skill, Ice Spreader.

Zhao is arguably the hardest-hitting character in the game, competing with Joon-gi Han for that title.

Unfortunately, he is very frail, but his attacks are exceptionally powerful, especially hisEssence of Ladder Acrobatics which targets all foes and may knock out the last enemy hit.

He learns Fire skills naturally but benefits greatly fromFulminating Forecast(Electric skill, Fortuneteller).

Agilitywill allow Joon-Gi Han toperform actions more often, whileDexteritywill help him to be moreaccurate with attacks while also evadingthem more often.

Joon-gi Han and Zhao are somewhat similar in their glass cannon roles, but Joon-gi Hanoffers access to Bullet and Blade skills.

He also benefits from learning all elemental skills due to his high Magic stat. His variety of powerful attacks and self-buffs make Joon-gi Han a must-use party member.

What Is The Best Party Composition?

The best party composition in Yakuza: Like A Dragon will be entirely dictated by what activities you’ll be using them for. However,Ichiban should always have the Hero job, as it is simply that much better than the alternatives.

Some party members areexcellent choices when farming levels early onor fighting quick battles, whileothers excel in slower, longer fights.

This party isexcellent in the first half of the gamebut requires you to go out of your way to acquire Eri. However, this won’t take long as the minigame is fairly straightforward.

This party is all about offense and nothing else. It’s best to use them when you’re over-leveled andrevisiting the Yokohama Underground Dungeon, or someplace else to farm experience.

Once you put in the time to level up each member to learn all elemental skills, this will set the groundwork formaking the most overpowered party in the game.
