It might be a little repetitive to play as the same killers inDead By Daylight, but things start getting interesting again whenever a new chapter is released. These chapters bring along new killers with their unique power and three teachable perks. The perks can be used on any other character, unlike the power.
RELATED:Dead By Daylight: Tips For Playing As The Singularity
The Singularity is one of these killers on the roster, and he was released with Chapter 28: End Transmission. If you’re planning to play as this killer in the game, you’ll need to learn about the best perks that synergize well with his power.
How To Use The Singularity’s Power
The Singularity’s power has a lot of mechanics in it, and it can be quite hard to grasp for a new player. When you press the button to use your power, the killer will bring out its left arm and you can shoot a long-range projectile with it. If this projectile lands on anything apart from a hook, generator, breakable wall, or pallet, it’ll create a Biopod.
You can switch to this Biopod by using the Secondary Power button, which will let you look around from its point of view. If you bring the reticle to a survivor in a certain range for a second, this Biopod will shoot another projectile that will infect the survivor. Infected survivors have a special symbol on the HUD.
You can only infect survivors through the Biopod.Nothing will happen if you shoot a projectile directly at an uninfected survivor.
Once the survivor is infected, you can either shoot a projectile directly to their body or use the Biopod to scan them again. If you do either of these successfully, you’ll instantly teleport to the survivor’s location a second ago. This teleportation will also activate the Overclock mode for six seconds.
When The Singularity is in the Overclock mode, you can break pallets and vault windows a lot faster. If the survivor tries to stun you with a pallet during this, it’ll instantly break and you’ll only get a slow instead of a stun. This will remove your Overclock mode as well.
The survivor getsabout the same distance no matter how you break the palletin Overclock mode.
Some special cases spawn all over the map that prints an EMP every 90 seconds. The speed of this process can be increased if the survivor interacts with it. An EMP can remove the infection from survivors and deactivate the Biopods in the surrounding area for 60 seconds.
Best Perk Build For The Singularity
you may use a total offour perks at a time on The Singularity, along with two add-ons. If you’re planning to be efficient while using this killer, here’s what you can put on it:
Sloppy Butcher
Perks
When using this killer, all your damaging attacks will be considered normal attacks, which will trigger Sloppy. This will give survivors the Mangled and Hemorrhage effects. These effects will serve as a nice slowdown for you if survivors attempt to heal.
Lethal Pursuer
Getting a quick first down is vital for The Singularity as there will be no EMPs printed during this time. You’ll only have to hit the first survivor you chase once with the Biopod to infect them.
This makes it important to find and infect them as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can also use Corrupt Intervention for some early-game pressure.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance
This perk doesn’t particularly synergize with the killer, but it’s a great generator slowdown to have. If used correctly,it can make survivors repair at least six generators instead of five.
Scourge Hook: Floods Of Rage
This can synergize well with Pain Resonance as you’ll get some free aura-reading whenever a survivor is unhooked from Scourge Hooks. The auras will berevealed to you for two seconds longer because of Lethal Pursuer.
Broken Security Key
Add-Ons
Your Biopods can get disabled for a long time with an EMP. While it’s easy to replace them, this isn’t always possible if they’re far away. This add-on reduces the time they’re deactivated for, making it easier to defend your generators.
Kid’s Ball Glove
This add-on lets the Overclock mode to last up to 7.5 seconds instead of 6,which can be a significant increase during a chase.
Synergies With Singularity’s Perks
The three perks that can be unlocked after you prestige The Singularity for the first time are called:Forced Hesitation, Machine Learning, and Genetic Limits. With a wide choice of killer perks in the game, you can make a build around all of these perks. Here are all the perks you’ll need:
Forced Hesitation
Whenever you down a survivor with this perk, any survivor within a 16-meter radius gets Hindered (reduced movement speed) by 20 percent. This makes their running speed almost as low as their normal walking speed, giving you a free hit if you catch someone nearby.
Reason For Synergy
Bamboozle
There’s a high chance that the nearby survivor after this perk is activated will have a window that they can use to gain distance on you. This perk lets you vault this window faster and block it, making it easier to get a hit even in this scenario.
Deerstalker
You’re incentivized to heavily slug (leave a survivor on the ground) with Forced Hesitation whenever it gets activated. It can be hard to find the slugged survivor later, but this perk makes it almost impossible to miss them.
Infectious Fright
It’s great to have the surrounding survivors Hindered when the perk is activated, but you still need to find them. This perk makes all the nearby survivors scream, instantly revealing their location and making the job far easier for you.
Nowhere To Hide
Another perk that can help you find nearby survivorsif the survivor you down is near a generator that was being repaired. This can be a little situational, but it also makes it easier to track the survivors and is a great aura-reading perk by itself.
Machine Learning
The Singularity is known for learning too fast, leading to the extinction of humanity. When you kick a generator, this perk is activated. After kicking another generator, it becomes Compromised. If the Compromised generator is finished, you get the Undetectable and Haste status effect for half a minute.
Haste increases your speed while Undetectableremoves your terror radius, aura reading, and red stain.
If you kick another generator before the Compromised generator is finished, theeffect is transferred to the generator you kicked recently.
Bitter Murmur
Whenever a generator is finished, this perk shows you the aura of nearby survivors for a few seconds. If the finished generator is the Compromised one, this perk will let you have an easy target.
Claustrophobia
This perk blocks all windows in a certain radius of a finished generator for a few seconds. Thisleaves survivors with fewer ways to escapewhile you come rushing at them.
Coup de Grâce
Another perk that activates after a generator is finished, Coup de Grâceincreases your lunge range for every finished generator.
Gearhead
Whenever you hit a survivor, this perk activates andshows you the aura of survivors hitting good skill checks on generators. You’ll know which generator you have to kick if you use this perk.
Genetic Limits
This is a simple perk, and it gives 32 seconds of Exhaustion whenever a survivor finishes the healing action. Thisprevents them from using Exhaustion perksthat can give them a lot of distance.
Blood Echo
Some survivors are confident enough to stay injured andmight not heal if they know that you have this perk to prevent Exhaustion. This perk gives them the Exhaustion effect after you hook a survivor anyway.
Deathbound
Since you’d like the survivors to finish healing actions on each other,Deathbound also activates with the same condition. It makes the survivors scream and they become Oblivious if they go too far from each other.
Thanatophobia
This is another perk that forces the survivors to heal at least one of their teammates. The perk’sslowdown increases monumentally if all four survivors are injured. This will ensure that you get some value as far as you’re splitting pressure.
