If you lovePokemonas an adult, then there’s a strong chance you have carried that love with you since you were a kid. There’s also a very strong chance that whether you intend to or not, you pass that love of Pokemon onto your kids. The second my son walked in and watched me playPokemon Violet, I could tell it was going to be something that stays with him for a while.

RELATED:Best Pokemon Clothes For Adults

If you do have some Pokemon-loving kids in your life, then they’ll love you forever (or at least until they reach that age where they hate all adults for a while) if you buy them some Pokemon clothes. Providing those clothes are good, of course, and there are a lot of options out there to suit varying tastes. We’ve picked a few products from across Pokemon’s massive range and hopefully, you’ll find an item or two below that jumps out.

Puma x Pokemon Sweatshirt

Puma x Pokemon = Really, Really Good

No matter how many hundreds of Pokemon are created, you’ll never convince those who have been there from the start that the originals aren’t the best. That’s why Puma’s first-ever collaboration with Pokemon has the OG fully-evolved starters all over it.

Pokemon has become such a behemoth almost 30 years on from its introduction, every company on the planet wants to team up with it. Puma finally got its chance this year, and this sweatshirt is one of the results. There are a few Puma x Pokemon products available right now, but this top is my favorite. A cool design for the original fully evolved starters and a welcome reminder to the child wearing it that those fully evolved starters will always be the best. Yes, I am accounting for Meowscarada when I say that.

Team Rocket T-Shirt

Prepare for trouble…

Your little ones can now be fully-fledged members of Team Rocket if they’re into that sort of thing. Hey, Meowth is pretty cute, I wouldn’t blame them if they side with Jessie and James.

One of the newest official lines Pokemon has added to its collection is the one from which this T-shirt has been pulled. Hey, baddies deserve some love too occasionally, especially when they’re as universally loved as Team Rocket’s Jessie and James. Yeah, this T-shirt will make you look more like a Rocket grunt than the villainous group’s lead characters, but for $15, that’s about as much as you could possibly ask for when it comes to official Pokemon merch.

Pokemon Pyjamas

Pokemon Sleep! Wait, that’s already a thing now…

Celebrate the launch of Pokemon Sleep by getting your kids some Pokemon pyjamas, although I’m not sure kids are supposed to use the app. Let me get back to you on that.

The Pokemon Company has made it abundantly clear it wants us to think about Pokemon all the time, even while we’re asleep. While I’m not sure I’d recommend letting your kids usePokemon Sleepsince it needs you to leave a phone face down on the bed next to you (you know they’re just going to pick it up and play games as soon as you leave the room), I would wholeheartedly recommend having them sleep in these Pokemon pyjamas. I also made it three entries until Pikachu showed his face. That has to be some sort of Pokemon record.

Puma x Pokemon Pikachu Beanie

Pikachu, but cooler

If beanies were a bigger deal when I was a kid, I’d have worn them all the time. Especially if they were Pokemon-themed like this one.

Pikachu are like buses, you wait forever for one and then two turn up at once. Don’t worry, I’m not about to make that terrible Pikachu on a bus joke your aunty makes every time you so much as mention Pokemon in front of her. Odds are you’d be safe wearing this beanie around her as it doesn’t scream Pokemon like most other official merch does. The Pikachu silhouette and paler yellow color scheme are much more subtle. If she does clock the Pikachu and make the joke, well, I apologize.

Pokemon Go Team Mystic T-Shirt

Rep Your Colors

Seven years on from its launch, Pokemon Go is still a very big deal. Whatever team you chose when you signed up, you can now rep your colors wherever you go through this range of T-shirts.

That one summer everyone was playing Pokemon Go in 2016 might well be the closest we have ever come to world peace. While the casuals quickly fell off,Pokemon Gohas remained a juggernaut, and now your kids can show their team’s colors through this new range of T-shirts. While the above link will take you to the T-shirts for Team Mystic, the same designs are also available for Team Valor and Team Instinct. It never really occurred to me before, but is this the Pokemon Go equivalent of picking your starter?

Pokemon Hoodie

Be The Pokeball

About as Pokemon a hoodie as a piece of clothing possibly can be. Looks like a Pokeball and features the four Pokemon just about everyone can name, even that aunty I mentioned earlier.

Pokemon is about big and bright colors, so this might well be the most fitting piece of clothing on the list so far. No, not everyone likes to make their Pokemon fandom quite this obvious, but hey, this is a list of Pokemon clothes for kids, most of whom I assume prefer to wear their Pokemon fandom on their sleeve. You can almost quite literally do that with this hoodie. In fact, I’d argue this is even better than wearing Pokemon on your sleeve as the design makes it looks like they are quite literally bursting out of your hoodie.

Puma x Pokemon Charmander Trainers

These Trainers Are Fire

The one item on this list that I’m truly jealous I can’t wear. Had these existed when I was a kid, I’d have worn them 24/7. Yes, even at school which would have likely landed me in a lot of trouble.

I can’t sign off on this list without adding at least one pair of Pokemon trainers. Another pull from the Puma line (what can I say, they’re the latest products to get the Pokemon treatment), these Charmander trainers are fire, and yes, pun aside, I realize I’m far too old to pull off saying something like that. I’m also far too old to successfully pull off these trainers which is a shame as it means I’ll have to stick to the boring grey and white ones I wear every single day. As for the lucky kids who will be getting a pair of Pokemon trainers, the above are also available with Pikachu, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle in Charmander’s place.

Quaxley T-Shirt

Quaxley > Sprigatito

Yes, Sprigatito is probably the best starter Pokemon in Paldea, but if you can look at this and tell me Quaxley isn’t the one that looks best on a T-shirt, you’re a liar.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet introduced three new starter Pokemon, and it seems to be the consensus thatSprigatito is the best one. While I tend to agree, I think Quaxley might be the most photogenic. I mean, just look at its hair on that T-shirt. Wait, is that hair? Anyway, pick Sprigatito, wear a Quaxley T-shirt, and forget about Fuecoco. The Fire-type was a swing and a miss.

FAQ

What Pokemon Shows And Games Are Good For Kids?

Pokemon may well have done a better job than any other franchise at appealing to fans of all ages. For little ones, there’s a YouTube channel, which is also available through the free Pokemon TV app onNintendo Switch, called Pokemon Kids TV. On the games front,Let’s Go Pikachuand Let’s Go Eevee might well be the best place for them to start their journeys.

Is Pokemon Go For Kids?

While some children might be able to handle the basics of Pokemon Go, it certainly makes sense that you wouldn’t want them to have their own account. There’s actually a way in Pokemon Go to attach a child account to your own, allowing them to play through your account so you can monitor and control everything they have access to.

Does Gen Z Like Pokemon?

Pokemon is as popular, if not more popular, today than it has ever been. However, it seems that’s largely due to the nostalgia millennials still have for the series. Gen Z is less interested in Pokemon, but that’s not to say they don’t care about it at all. Pokemon accrues new fans all the time as its anime continues and new games are released.
