Sleeping Cubone Plush
Don’t Ask Why It’s Crying
Cubone is one of many Pokemon to become a part of the series’ sleeping plush collection. A single tear in its eye, according to the product description, Cubone is dreaming of its mother.
There are a couple of sleeping plushes on this list - keep scrolling for the Sleeping Rowlet - because the only thing that makes a Pokemon plush even cuter than it is already is one that looks like it’s asleep. There’s a potentially dark story behind the Sleeping Cubone plush, though. The Pokemon Center’s item description says it is dreaming about its mom.
If you know Cubone’s history, you’ll know the skull it wears once belonged to its mother (told you it was dark). That adds an entirely new, incredibly heartbreaking layer to the single tear embroidered into the corner of its eye. Goddamn Pokemon, now I’m crying again!
Zangoose Pokemon Hugging Plush
Hold Me Tighter, Zangoose
Pokemon’s new range of hugging plushes have been given long arms so it feels like they’re hugging you back. They’re also considerably bigger than a normal Pokemon plush, Zangoose being the biggest of all at almost 40 inches long.
My house is filled with plushes, not all of which are of the Pokemon variety, and some of them don’t belong to my four-year-old son. Soft and cuddly, they’re perfect for hugging if you don’t have a willing human being handy. The one thing a plush can’t do that a human being can do in that situation is hug you back, until now.Pokemon has launched a collection of hugging plushes.
Bigger soft toys with long arms that you may drape over your shoulders so they hug you back. Zangoose is the pick of the bunch if you ask me, but other options are available through the Pokemon Center link above.
Sleeping Rowlet Plush
Shhhhhhhh!
Rowlet is a Grass-type Pokemon. Perhaps the most popular Grass-type starter Pokemon to date. This Target-exclusive plush shows the well-loved Pokemon taking a snooze.
As if there aren’t already enough Pokemon to turn into plushes, a number of them have had their plush presence doubled up by getting sleepy versions. Makes sense, I guess, as most people who buy Pokemon plushes keep them in the bedroom and sleep with them. Whether that’s what you do with your plushes or not, this sleeping Rowlet is a terrific addition to any collection. Also, if you’re not into Rowlet (you monster)a couple of other sleeping Pokemon have been added to Target’s exclusive collection. Bulbasaur and Pichu.
Greavard Sitting In A Pumpkin Plush
Much Safer Than The Real Thing
Greavard’s very first Pokemon plush has the ghostly dog sitting inside of a pumpkin. Fitting not only due to its nature, but also because it was released as part of Pokemon’s Halloween 2023 collection.
Greavard is a new addition to the Pokemon universe, joining the 1,000-strong collection through Scarlet & Violet. Although adorable on the surface, play with Greavard for too long and the Pokemon will unknowingly suck the life force from you. Dark stuff. Anyway, I’ve read and re-read the product description and can confirmthere is no risk of the plush version of the pup doing that to you. Having it perched on your pillow might make you nod off, though.
Wiglett Plush
The Infamous Wiglett Plush
Pokemon set social media ablaze when it unveiled its Wiglett plush because, well, at first glance, it looks a little like something that isn’t a Wiglett. For it’s fame alone, you should probably buy one.
Another Pokemon introduced during gen nine was Wiglett, named as such because it’s a white Diglett. Wiglett isn’t an evolved form of Diglett, however, nor are they connected in any way, and shockinglythere’s real-life science to explain how that happens.
Now, the plush. It’s a little problematic, and I’m assuming The Pokemon Company knew exactly what it was doingwhen it unveiled this plush. Especially since one of the first official images showed Wiglett completely upright, its eyes obscured from view. If you can handle every non-Pokemon fan who sees it going “Uhhh, what the hell is that?” then you should definitely buy one.
Miraidon Plush
Basically A Cuddly Motorbike
Pokemon Violet introduced a brand new paradox Pokemon before you even opened the box as Miraidon was right there on the cover. Now the motorbike-style Pokemon is a plush too, in drive mode or standing up.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violetintroduced something called paradox Pokemon, and leading to that reveal, at least in Violet, was Miraidon. A bike-like Pokemon you find at the start of your adventure which eventually gets its powers back as you progress on your journey. Miraidon is now a plush too, in its drive mode, so it’s ready to go on a brand-new adventure in the real world.
Koraidon Plush
Also A Cuddly Motorbike, But It’s Red This Time
If you opted for Pokemon Scarlet, then Koraidon was the paradox Pokemon waiting for you. Also now available as a plush, for some reason its bike form isn’t called drive mode, but is described as being its sprinting form.
If you picked Pokemon Scarlet instead of Violet, then Koraidon was the bike Pokemon waiting for you. Also following you on your Paldean Pokemon journey, Koraidon was designed to look like it had been pulled from the past as opposed to the future. The lesser of the two paradox Pokemon in my opinion, but hey, if you can afford both, just imagine how much better your Pokemon plush collection will be for it.
Sprigatito Pokemon Plush
Scarlet & Violet’s Best Starter In Plush Form
Sprigatito was introduced to Pokemon via Scarlet & Violet and the love it got out the gate made it an obvious pick to be among the first from its gen to get the plush treatment.
It took Pokemon nine generations, but withScarlet & Violet, they finally figured out what we all want from a grass-type starter. An adorable little cat that follows us around on our adventures. Pokemon also quickly realized we weren’t okay with only seeing Sprigatito when looking at our Switch screens. That’s why it immediately got immortalized in plush form, and even though it’s a little more expensive than most other options, if you’re assembling a collection or picking just one plush, you need Sprigatito.
Gengar Large Microbead Plush
Who You Gonna Hug?
Objectively the best Pokemon ever, owning as many forms of Gengar as possible is an absolute must. This beanbag form of the Ghost-type is the best way yet to honor Gengar in plush form.
More than 1,000 Pokemon later, it’s amazing to think the series' creators nailed it at the first time of asking. That’s right, the very best Pokemon was created during gen one more than two decades ago, and that Pokemon was Gengar. That’s just a fact. Sorry, I don’t make the rules. I’m sure you already own enough Gengar merch to fill a Pokemart, but if you do have room for one more item on your Gengar shrine, make it this plush. Or, you know, you may just snuggle it at night, although I think that’s when Ghost-types are most active, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
Mareep Happy Spring Pokemon Plush Keychain
Mareep Can Keep An Eye On Your Keys
A keychain plush for Pokemon fans looking for something a little smaller than a full-sized plush, and Mareep is the perfect ‘mon for the job.
As a grown man who has loved Pokemon for more than 20 years, I know it can be tricky to appreciate the series without being judged. No, it’s not fair, but unfortunately, it’s a reality. If I walk around with a Pikachu plush peeping out of my Mewtwo backpack, people will probably laugh at me. If that bothers you, this Mareep plush keychain might well be the answer you’ve been looking for. A smaller, slightly less overt way of appreciating Pokemon and if any small-minded non-Pokemon fans ask you why you have it, just tell them you’re a farmer and it’s a sheep.
Spheal Pokemon Plush
It’s The Spheal Deal
Making all other plushes look small in comparison, Pokemon went all out when it made this Spheal. Standing at almost 40 inches tall, it might be the closest Poke plush on the market to an actual pet.
For those unashamed of their Pokemon fandom, and with a significant chunk of change burning a hole in their pocket, there’s the Spheal plush. Standing at more than 39 inches tall (that’s about the same height as your average three-year-old), Pokemon’s Spheal plush is one of the biggest on the market at this time.
You’ll need to verify you have room for Spheal as yes, it’s effectively like bringing an additional piece of furniture into the house. The bright side is, unlike a three-year-old, it can be used as furniture, offered up as a chair if you have guests. It’s probably more expensive than your average chair, though. Wait, is it? I don’t know. I’m not a chair guy, I’m a plush guy.
Lechonk Pokemon Plush
Me Lechonk, Me Plush Friend
Lechonk was one of the first new additions shown during the build to Scarlet & Violet’s launch, and Pokemon fans immediately fell in love. Of course, that meant it was one of the first gen nine Pokemon to get a plush.
There always tends to be one Pokemon introduced via each gen the entire fandom falls in love with. Nine generations in, Pokemon has gotten pretty good at figuring out which of its new creations that’s going to be. That’s why when Scarlet & Violet ads and gameplay started to drop,Lechonk was one of the first new Pokemon we were shown.
An adorable little pig Pokemon, and also one of the first creatures you encounter on your Paldean journey. Now you can bring Lechonk home with you and stare into his sad little eyes as much as you like. Seriously, why does it look like it’s crying? I can’t handle it.
Pokemon - Sleeping Squirtle Poke Plush
A Dreamy Companion
Cuddle up with the adorable 18-inch Sleeping Squirtle plush, crafted from ultra-soft material perfect for napping, playing, or snuggling.
Whether you’re a lifelong Pokemon fan or looking for the perfect cuddly companion, the Sleeping Squirtle plush is a charming choice. Its soft fabric and large size make it ideal for both playtime and naptime. While it’s not suitable for trainers under three years of age, this Squirtle is sure to be a hit with Pokemon enthusiasts of all ages, offering a blend of nostalgia and comfort.
Igglybuff & Jigglypuff Pokemon Sweet Support Plush
A Couple of Comfort Buddies
This adorable plush features Jigglypuff comforting a crying Igglybuff. Pull the cord to watch them separate, then let go and see them reunite!
Igglybuff might be letting out a tear (maybe it missed a Melody Mark lesson?), but don’t worry – the soothing Jigglypuff is right there to cuddle it close. Pull them apart and watch Igglybuff magically zoom back into Jigglypuff’s embrace, just like Jigglypuff’s singing can lull a Pokemon to sleep in a flash. This is the perfect pick-me-up for fans or anyone who needs a hug (without the risk of falling asleep!).
Pichu & Pikachu Pokemon Sweet Support Plush
Pika-Comfort Buddies
This Pokemon Sweet Support Plush features Pikachu cuddling a teary-eyed Pichu in a heartwarming display of friendship.
Feeling a little zapped? No worries—we all experience the blues now and then. This adorable Pokemon Sweet Support Plush features Pikachu, the always-energetic mascot, comforting a teary-eyed Pichu. These two pals are the perfect reminder that even the strongest trainers need a shoulder to cry on (or a fuzzy head to nuzzle).
Now, care is straightforward:handwash only—and definitely no tumble in the machine. Overall, it’s a charming addition to any collection, it’s a tangible expression of affection and support.
Leafeon Pokemon Plush
The Grass-Type Cutie Joins the Plushie Party!
Made with super soft materials, this plush is perfect for snuggling on the couch, taking on adventures, or recreating epic Pokemon battles.
This plush captures all of Leafeon’s leafy charm, from its emerald fur to its adorable little claws. It’s the perfect cuddle buddy for nature walks, afternoon naps, or just adding a touch of grassy flair to your room. And because it’s officially-licensed Pokemon merch, you know you’re getting the real deal!
Ball Guy Pokemon Plush
Is This Really A Pokemon?
No, a Pokemon plush doesn’t have to be an actual Pokemon. It can be the weird mascot that gives you Pokeballs in Sword & Shield. Thankfully, the Ball Guy plush isn’t lifesize.
Yes, I thought I’d wait until the very end of this guide to get weird with it. The Ball Guy has his own plush, and for just $20, I really think you should own it. Ball Guy is the weird mascot you’ll find in gyms aroundSword & Shield’s Galar region, and although he looks like something straight out of a Pokemon nightmare, Ball Guy is pretty friendly. He’ll give you Pokeballs for free, and he’s easy to spot since he literally has a Pokeball for a head.
I’m hoping it’s actually a helmet of some sort, as having a massive Pokeball for a head would make for a pretty miserable existence. Helmet or not, in plush form, the head stays on.
