Unique items inDiablo 4are rare Legendary weapons and armor that can drastically change how you build your character. They can only be found in World Tier three and above, making them harder to find than normal Legendary items. However, their rarity only makes them more valuable.
Fortunately for Necromancer, there are a few really great Unique items that can be used in a variety of builds, if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one. Below, we’ll take a look at some of the best Unique items for Necromancer, what they do, and what makes them good.

10Black River
Black River
Corpse Explosion consumed up to 4 additional Corpses around the initial Corpse, dealing [122-130]% increased damage with a [21-25]% larger radius per additional Corpse.
Corpse Explosion is one of the Necromancer’s most powerful skills, and is featured in many viable endgame builds. Black River makes exploding Corpses even easier and greatly amplifies the damage dealt with each Corpse you explode, making the ability incredibly strong.
This one-handed Scythe also increases the passive effect Fueled by Death, further increasing your damage when consuming Corpses. Overall, Black River is one of the best all-around Unique weapons for Necromancer that can fit into any build that uses Corpse Explosion.
9Blood Artisan’s Cuirass
Blood Artisna’s Cuirass
When you pick up [5-10] Blood Orbs, a free Bone Spirit is spawned, dealing bonus damage based on your current Life percent.
Blood Orbs are a unique mechanic for Necromancers that function similarly to regular Health Globes. Certain abilities like Hemorrhage have a chance to drop Blood Orbs, which heal you for 15 percent of your maximum life. When combined with Blood Artisan’s Cuirass, Blood Orbs can be extremely strong.
Bone Spirit is one of the Necromancer’s most powerful skills, and this Unique chest armor makes it even stronger. Bone Spirit costs all of your current Essence to cast, so spawning a free one every so often is extremely valuable, and makes builds focused on this skill even better.
8Deathless Visage

Bone Spear leaves behind echoes as it travels that explode, dealing [X] damage.
Deathless Visage is another Unique armor piece for Necromancer that enhances the Bone Spear skill. With its innate added physical damage and critical strike damage with Bone skills, the Deathless Visage is a staple in any build that utilizes Bone Spear, which there are a lot of.
Bone Spear is one of the best build options for many Necromancer builds, making this item almost necessary for endgame content. The added explosions to Bone Spear make the attack even stronger, and builds centering around this skill gain a ton of power from this Unique helm.
7Deathspeaker’s Pendant
Deathspeaker’s Pendant
Blood Surge casts a mini nova on your Minions, dealing [X] damage. Damage is increased by 10% per target drained by the initial cast, up to 50%.
Although not as popular in late-game content, minions are a beloved and fun playstyle for Necromancers who want to command their own army of undead. When combined with Blood skills, minion-master Necromancers are a veritable one-man army.
Deathspeaker’s Pendant essentially allows your minions to mirror your casts of Blood Surge, providing tons of extra damage over a large area. Blood Surge is an excellent area of effect attack, so be sure to pair this skill with a good single-target option like Blood Lance for dealing with bosses and Elite enemies.
6Doombringer
Doombringer
Lucky Hit: Up to a [15-25]% chance to deal [X] Shadow damage to surrounding enemies and reduce their damage done by 20% for 5 seconds.
Doombringer is a one-handed sword that will have you creating tons of explosions of Shadow damage, and reducing the damage enemies deal to you. While not the most desirable Unique, this effect can be really good in a few different setups, especially ones that focus on raising Lucky Hit Chance.
Due to the secondary effect of lowering the enemies' damage when they are hit, Doombringer can be a good defensive option on top of providing a bit of extra damage, even when you aren’t specializing in Shadow damage. However, when these effects synergize, Doombringer really shines as a great Unique weapon for Necromancer.
5Greaves Of The Empty Tomb

Create desecrated ground beneath your Sever spectres as they travel, damaging enemies for [X] Shadow damage over 2 seconds.
Shadow damage is a big part of quite a few Necromancer builds, and Sever is a solid Core skill that can deal high damage at close or distant range. The Greaves of the Empty Tomb make Sever even stronger, creating a damage over time effect puddle on the ground as your Spectres travel.
Greaves of the Empty Tomb really shine in builds that utilize numerous Shadow-based skills, like Reap, Sever, Blight, and Blighted Corpse Explosion, which turns Corpse Explosion into a Shadow skill. Plus, you can combine Greaves of the Empty Tomb with the effect of Doombringer for even more Shadow damage.
4Howl From Below
Howl From Below
Instead of detonating immediately, Corpse Explosion summons a Volatile Skeleton that charges at a random enemy and explodes. Corpse Explosion’s damage is increased by [X]%.
Howl From Below is another Unique item that focuses on the Corpse Explosion skill. However, this piece of equipment has an entirely different effect. Instead of making the Corpses explode, Howl From Below turns them into a skeleton that charges at a nearby enemy, which explodes on contact.
This powerful effect completely changes the Corpse Explosion build playstyle, allowing you to target ranged enemies that are far from your Corpses. This means you won’t have to worry about Corpses being directly under the enemy you are trying to kill, as the summoned skeleton will move where it needs to.
3Blood Moon Breeches

Your Minions have a [X]% chance to curse enemies. Enemies affected by at least 1 of your curses take [X]% increased Overpower damage from you.
Blood Moon Breeches are Unique pants that can provide an extremely high damage boost to builds that use minions. With these pants equipped, all of your active minions have a chance to apply a curse to enemies. However, the best part about the Blood Moon Breeches is its secondary component.
Regardless of whether a minion applied the curse, all enemies that are suffering a curse will take a massive amount of increased Overpower damage from you. This works especially well in Blood Lance builds that utilize curses to debuff their targets. In this case, you don’t even need minions to make Blood Moon Breeches one of the best items in your loadout.
2Ring Of Mendeln
Ring of Mendeln
While you have 7 or more Minions you gain: Lucky Hit: Up to a 10% chance to empower all of your Minions, causing the next attack from each to explode for [X] Physical damage.
Ring of Mendeln is an extremely powerful Unique ring that greatly increases the damage output of minion-based builds. For pure minion Necromancers, the Ring of Mendeln will give all of your minions a chance to have their attacks explode on hit, dealing physical damage.
The best part about this ring is that it scales based on your stats, not your minions. This gives the empowered explosion a much higher damage ceiling, allowing your minions to hit for millions of damage with crits.

You automatically activate the following equipped Skills on Corpses around you:
Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul is an extremely versatile Unique ring that can work in a variety of different Necromancer builds, especially ones that utilize Corpse Explosion. Every few seconds, the corpses near you will automatically explode, dealing tons of damage without you having to lift a finger.
Plus, this ring also works with Raise Skeletons and Corpse Tendrils, which can make builds that utilize these skills smoother to play. Being able to automatically summon your skeleton minions from nearby corpses makes it easier to ensure your army is always at full capacity.
