10Silent Silencers And Throwing Knives
While this mod may not add in a flashy new gun, it seriously reworks the stealth combat in the game, making it more in line with other famous video games. Specifically, whenever you attack with a throwing knife or a silenced pistol, all enemies in the area will instantly react to your position after your dispatch an enemy.
With this mod installed, enemies will no longer get instantly notified of your exact location when you take down someone with a throwing knife or a silenced pistol, but will instead search the area to discover where you may be hiding. This allows you to reposition while the enemies investigate the area, and you’re able to even potentially take out even more enemies before you are discovered, if at all.
9Malorian Arms 3516 Skin Pack
As you continue through the main storyline of Cyberpunk: 2077, you’ll play through various missions from the prospect of Johnny Silverhand, and even wield his famously overpowered pistol named the Malorian Arms 3516. Furthermore, you can even unlock this weapon while on a quest with Rogue, so it is no surprise that there are a plethora of mods that reimagine the design of this pistol.
The Skin Pack for the Malorian Arms is definitely the best choice, as it doesn’t ruin the spectacular model and reload animation of the pistol. Instead, this mod simply reskins the metallic textures on the gun, allowing you to choose between five different metallic colors to match your aesthetic.
8The Holy Aerondight and Other Swords
If you enjoy melee combat in Night City, then you may have noticed that all swords in the game are only katanas. While there is certainly nothing wrong with these deadly blades, you may want to customize your character with larger great swords and classic medieval weaponry.

The Holy Aerondight mod rectifies this problem by adding several swords with a supernatural twist. Specifically, many of these swords are inspired by CD Projekt Red’s other famous title,The Witcher, and feature glowing metallic blades that are decorated with holy light and glowing runes.
While these ancient weapons may not match the exact aesthetic found throughout Night City, they are still incredibly detailed and deserved to be wielded while chopping up Cyber Psychos.
7John Wick Inspired - Militech Omaha Lizzie
Another mod inspired by real-world material is the John Wick Millitech Omaha reskin of the iconic Lizzie pistol. While this mod may not change how V looks,the tech Pistol found at Lizzie’s barwill have a complete visual overhaul, adding darker textures to the pistol, thus giving the gun a grittier feel.
Furthermore, this pistol can be picked up extremely early in the game and deals a massive amount of damage whenever you unleash a cluster of five bullets in just one shot. Just turn to the left after you complete the first brain dance with Judy, and you’ll find this pistol sitting on a table in a private room.
6New Weapons Mod
The New Weapons Mod is one of the few mods available for Cyberpunk 2077 that adds completely new knives and swords into the game, complete with unique textures and models. While most of the knives added with the mod are more or less realistic to the world of Cyberpunk, the mod also adds lightsabers and great swords.
Specifically, this mod adds multiple smaller blades that come equipped with glowing serrated edges, and unique hilts that greatly differ from the base knives found throughout the game. Overall, if you are not bothered by some of the more extravagant weapons added with this mod, then you should seriously consider adding these melee blades to your repertoire.
5Diamond Sword From Minecraft
While this may not be the most effective sword you can equip in the game, it certainly is full of character. The Diamond Sword From Minecraft mod does exactly what the name entails, adding the famous diamond weapon from the sandbox gameMinecraft.
If you are a fan of the punk aesthetic found throughout the game, then this mod will really stand out among the dystopian environment of Night City. With that being said, there is nothing funnier than defeating your enemies with a pixilated sword.
4Effective Smart Weapons
If you have played Cyberpunk for some time, you may remember whensmart weapons were ridiculously overpowered.A recent nerf to this weapon type made them deal less damage, while also reducing the overall range of every smart weapon in the game.
The Effective Smart Weapons mod aims to rectify this patch by keeping the nerfed damage the same while reverting the range reduction. This means that you will not be able to deal massive amounts of damage with an auto-aiming weapon, but you can still fire the gun from farther away.
3Malorian Overture Reskin
If you have turned V into a pistol or revolver-wielding gunslinger, then chances are that you have picked up many different Overtures after defeating various enemies. In the base game, this classic revolver has been updated to match the futuristic aesthetic found throughout Night City, but some of the weapon’s textures are still seriously lacking.

Downloading this reskin updates all the textures on the weapon, specifically the engravings found on the side of the chamber. Furthermore, you may download different versions depending on how you want to customize your trusty revolver.
2Fancy Knives And Katanas
While thedifferent katanas found throughout Night Cityoffer a nice variety of unique styles and materials, it is pretty surprising that absolutely none of these swords come equipped with glowing hilts or blades. The Fancy Knives and Katanas mod was created to rectify this problem, adding various katanas and knives that come equipped with neon colors at the edge of the blades that glow during the night.
This mod also offers a variety of different colors for each of your blades, meaning you do not have to lock yourself into one singular aesthetic. Since this mod supplies something almost everyone wanted in the game, and a massive amount of colorful customization, any blade master should instantly install this cosmetic change.
1Weapon Overhaul
Instead of redesigning a preexisting weapon or adding something completely new, the Weapon Overhaul mod focuses on improving the combat that already exists within Cyberpunk 2077. Specifically, the creator of this mod has focused on streamlining the bullet capacity of each weapon, improving or reducing the reload speed of specific guns, and changing the overall damage of every weapon in the game.
In an effort to make these futuristic weapons more lore accurate and realistic, even some of their ammo types have been adjusted. While you may want to play the game without any mods at least once, we recommend installing this mod for every single playthrough after, as it truly makes the combat feel less cumbersome and infinitely more satisfying.
