If Miles Morales was a real-life flesh person without all of those fancy web-slinging powers, he would undoubtedly be a bit of a gamer. Not only that, but you know damn well that Miles would, like most of us in our teenage years, be absolutely obsessed with games like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Jet Set Radio.Bomb Rush Cyberfunkis what happens when you combine those two titles, and after mixing in a bit of graffiti for good measure, you have a piece of media that is pretty much Miles Morales in video game form.

That’s why it shouldn’t be too surprising that one dedicated Bomb Rush Cyberfunk fan has already managed to put together a mod for the game that lets you play as Miles Morales, albeit without his cool suit or spider powers. Twitter user SomnusNemoris shared their creation via a short video earlier this week, showing off their design for Miles, which is more akin to his Into the Spider-Verse iteration rather than Insomniac’s version.

It’s a pretty great mod though, as the video showcases Miles grinding and doing tricks across New Amsterdam, evading the police as he goes. SomnusNemoris apologizes for their “poor gameplay”, but they seem to be doing much better than what I’ve been doing recently. The video ends with Miles tagging some graffiti after smashing through a window, a flagrant display of vandalism that the real Miles Morales may be a little disappointed by.

Not only that, but SomnusNemoris went one step further and added everyone’s favorite skating hedgehog as well. Sonic is yet another character that feels right at home in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, and the video of him running around New Amsterdam at the speed of sound, grinding on every rail he can find honestly looks like concept footage of Sonic Adventure 3.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like SomnusNemoris has made either of these mods publicly available to download just yet, though they may change their tune after seeing so much positive attention. It is worth noting that theydotake commissions for VRChat Avatarsthough, so if you’re a fan of their work or these Sonic and Miles Morales mods and you’re a regular user of the platform, maybe see if SomnusNemoris can help you out.
