Base All Your Decisions On The Turn Order

With that in mind, you’ll notice that attacks won’t impact the turn order, butusing Arts and Crafts will affect your turn order. Usually, you’ll get delayed further into the turn, so you should avoid spamming them since the enemy can get in more attacks.
However, you don’t have to worry about that if you’re about to finish the battle since you’lldefeat the enemy before they get a chance to strikeback. That means you shouldn’t just spam abilities that’ll push back your turns since enemies may get to attack you multiple times.
Speaking of which, you shouldprioritize a single enemybefore they can attack you. Usually, you won’t deal enough damage to defeat a foe with a single character, so aim for the ones lower on the turn order to try and defeat them before they get to attack you.

Don’t Underestimate Movement In Combat
Some people may question why they should ever use movement while fighting. After all, it uses a turn, and you can move up to enemies while attacking them. However,you don’t get to pick where you’ll move from an attacksince you’ll move into range.
On top of that, you’ll also move to a teammate when you use items, but the movement remains a solid choice since you can use it to strategize and as a quick action. Amovement action usually moves you up on the turn order, so you’ll get to perform another action within a turn.
Since attacks, Crafts, and Arts depend on your position, it’s sometimes a great idea to move, allowing you to find the right spot to maximize your damage. you’re able to alsouse the movement and slight delay to land your character on a critical hit turn, ensuring you land a break.
The movement also matters since it lets youmove toward your teammates before they heal, maximizing their AOE healing moves. You can also use your movement to spread out your team, so if the enemy has AOE moves, they won’t hit your entire party.

Prioritize Crafts While Using Arts As Needed
You have Crafts and Arts in this game, which use different resources.Crafts use CP, while Arts use EP. CP will automatically refill during battle as you land attacks or take damage, allowing you to use different abilities regularly. However, EP doesn’t restore independently, requiring items or restore points.
Considering that, you shoulduse Crafts more often since it’s a readily available resource. On top of that, Arts have a delay before they activate, requiring you to time your moves properly or risk having a character knocked out before the move comes out, wasting their turn.
However, Crafts activate immediately, allowing you to damage enemies significantly. However, theabilities usually push you back in the turn order, so you have that drawback to worry about. With those points in mind, Crafts will work best in standard battles, though you should focus on Arts in bosses.
You should alsouse healing Arts as you see fit, keeping your party’s health up. They usually have a short delay, meaning they’ll activate in a turn or two, so they’re usually the best arts to use, especially if you don’t want to use healing Crafts to deal damage later.
You also have a Craft called Analyze, whichallows you to see all the enemy’s weaknesses and strengths. Use it against new enemy types immediately, so you won’t waste turns figuring out what’s effective against them.
Know When To Use S-Crafts
You should also be careful about your S- Crafts. These abilities cost 100 CP, thoughthey use all your CPand deal more damage based on how much you have. Most characters have S-Crafts that attack multiple enemies, making them great for clearing out large groups.
However, once you activate them, they’ll use all your current CP, sothey work as a last resort or way to finish combat. Luckily, you can activate them during any character’s turn, allowing characters to act out of order, which is a substantial advantage.
Not only can you use them to take out enemies before they attack, but you caninflict tons of break damage to enemies, allowing you to interrupt their attacks and take them out. you’re able to do the same with status ailments if you notice a weakness, so pay attention to the effects of each S-Craft.

Using Your BP Based On The Situation
The game has a resource known as BP, which you can use in two main situations:performing Link Attacks and issuing Orders.
Link Attacks occur if you drain an enemy’s Break meter. If your character’s linked to another party member, the other one will follow up and perform an attack based on what you choose.You can pick Assist, Rush, or Burst.
Assist allows your teammate to perform an extra attack on the enemy.Rush lets the linked characters perform attacks on the foe, dealing more damage and even hitting nearby enemies. Burst has all four party members attack the enemy and surrounding foes for immense damage.
However,Rush costs two BP and Burst costs five, so while they deal good damage, you should consider your situation before you use them. For instance, if you’re fighting standard enemies, using all your BP and taking them out quickly might not be an issue.
On the other hand, if you’re fighting a boss or the enemy plans to use a powerful attack, you should hold off andstick with an Assist to deal more damagebut not use your resources.
You’ll often want to use your BP on Orders, which is excellent for adjusting your team. Orders stand out since you canactivate them during any party member’s turn, but you won’t use their turn when you issue it.
Orders change your party’s stats, such as increasing your defense, dealing more damage, or inflicting more damage to the Break meter. You can then use these based on the situation to see what works best.
For example, if the boss is about to use a powerful move, you can activate the Break Order to interrupt them. However, if their Break meter isn’t low enough,using a defense Order while spreading your team and healing might be the better option.
