How To Prepare For The Great White Shark Klaus Fight

This is going to be one ofthe hardest boss battlesin Dave The Diver, and you only get one shot at it.You can restart the battle if you’re defeated, but it won’t help if you’re unprepared.

The first thing you’d want to do before this fight is to get a nice upgrade for one of your weapons. You’d want to keep as much distance from the enemy as possible, soweapons like Sniper Rifle and Grenade Launcher are your best options.

TheFlame Sniper IIis the highest damage, longest range weapon you can make at this point in the game, andiseasily the most effective weapon for dealing with Klaus.

Once you dive and locate the portal, swim around the ocean and open every yellow and weapon chest you’re able to find. This can give you portable oxygen tanks and upgrades for your current weapon. It’s important to have a portable tank during this fight because you’ll only have one oxygen refill tube on the battlefield.

Be sure to upgrade your diving suit’s oxygen supplybefore attempting to defeat Klaus. This can be a long fight and there’s limited oxygen in the arena where you fight Klaus.

You might alsofind some good Harpoon upgrades—like Poison or Flame—so that they deal additional damage to Klaus. However, your primary source of damage should be your gun.

Use theOctopus Weapon Charmto enhance your weapon’s damage.

How To Defeat The Great White Shark Klaus

Once you enter the battlefield, you’ll realize that you can’t call Clara and have to hold your ground until she arrives at the scene. You’ll have tododge the shark’s attack and deal a certain amount of damage to it to finish the battle. Here are all the attacks you’ll see from it:

Dash Attack

If the shark is far away from you, it’ll do adash attack where it swims toward Dave at very high speed. This attack can be dodged by going out of the shark’s trajectory, but it can let the shark get close to you.

Bite Attack

When Klaus is close to you, it’ll perform a charged bite attack where itstays still for a second and then launches itself at you while biting. She can also change her direction during this, making it very hard to dodge.

Whirlpool Attack

Every few seconds, the shark will go to the right side of the field and launch whirlpools at you. The whirlpool will alternate betweenthe top and bottom sides of the battlefield.

After Klaus takes around400 damage, Klaus will become enraged. This attack will be enhanced, and thewhirlpools will start moving vertically up and downwhile coming straight at you.

When Klaus is performing an attack, focus on dodging it instead of trying to hit it with your weapon. It goes into a little downtime after every attack, which provides the perfect opportunity to attack it.

After dealing 650 damage, Clara will appear on the scene and defeat the enemy, putting an end to the battle.

To dodge Klaus’s attacks, use the Octopus Braceletor theDolphin Necklace.

Rewards For Defeating The Great White Shark Klaus

You can harvest Klaus’s meat tounlock a recipe called White Shark Omelet in the Research tab. It only takes one Artisan’s Flame to get this recipe, and you can serve it to ten people. However, you can only use it once.

Save the White Shark Omelet for the Shark Partyevent to make a boatload of cash.

You’ll also unlock theShark Teeth Necklace Charmfrom this quest, whichincreases the damage of your Harpoon by 15 percent. This will be incredibly useful in the latter portions of the game, as fish health will often exceed the damage dealt by even a fully upgraded Harpoon.
