There are two specialties in this area: the Mantagora boss and the dial puzzles. To solve the dial puzzles, you’ll have to locate four symbols scattered in different parts of the map, and then use a specific combination to get a new weapon and a Relic.
How To Solve The Main Dial Puzzle
If you’ve found the dial that’s located on top of a temple in the open, you’ll have to go all around one part of Imperial Gardens to find its solution. If you want to explore yourself, you can use the map above to locate all four symbols. After locating them, you have to place the symbols according to the corruption on their mural.
To get to the closest mural from the dial, you have totake the tree branch bridge right beside one of the stairs leading down. Turn left after crossing it and you’ll find an elite enemy guarding the mural. Once you’ve defeated the enemy, make sure you take a screenshot of the mural since you’ll need to look at the symbol and the corruption on it later.
To get the second symbol, head back from the tree branch bridge andtake the stairs leading downward right beside it. Once the stairs end, you’ll see a door that can be opened simply by interacting with it. Cross the door and you’ll see a path leading up on your right side near the edge. Follow this path until you have to perform a jump to get to the next platform.
After the jump, you’ll see a book beside a skeleton nearby and another tree branch bridge ahead of it. Take the bridge to the other side andenter the ruin nearby to find your second symbol. You don’t have to jump down the path to the left after crossing the bridge. The required ruins will have an entrance on the right side.
For the other two symbols, you have to head all the way back to the smaller checkpoint deep inside the temple. Near the checkpoint, you’ll see an opening where the path will get divided into two (left and right). You have to take the right path for the first two symbols mentioned above, and the left one for the last two.
Cross a couple of tree branch bridges on the left path and you’ll see an area blocked off by some small branches right in front.Shoot the orange explosive in the middle of these branches to open the area. This will lead you to the third symbol. Once found, head back out and turn left to keep following this path.
You’ll have to climb up a set of big stairs and find the hidden area behind the broken pillar. As you reach the end of this area, you’ll find the final symbol required for this dial puzzle.
Once you’ve discovered all the symbols, or if you want to skip the procedure and find the answer to the puzzle, you can simply head back to the dial and use the picture above. On the dial, you’ll see four circles with the same symbols and there will be two pillars on the top. You have tofit the required symbols on the top in between these pillars.
The mural with theleast corruption goes on the innermost circlewhile the one with themost corruption goes on the outermost circle. Once you’ve placed the combination, hit the Activate Plinth button and a path to an area below will open. Down here, you’ll find a chest on one side and the Crossbow weapon on the other.
Crossbow has higher damage than most Long Guns in the game, but it needs to reload after every bullet.
It can also only hold a maximum of 25 arrows unless you increase your magazine size.
How To Find And Solve The Hidden Dial Puzzle
It’s easy to locate the first dial in Imperial Gardens since it’s in the open, but most players don’t know that a second dial exists in the area. To find this dial, head back to the small Checkpoint and go near the giant pillar where you found an elevator to go to the top and claim the rarest chest in the area.
There will be two sets of stairs leading up to the pillar, but in the middle of these stairs, you’ll find a unique wall. This is a magic wall and you can simply walk through it to find the second dial, which arguably gives you an item even better than the Crossbow.
This dial doesn’t share the same answer as the previous one, andyou have to use the elevator to find the solution. Go to the elevator and stand in the middle stone to start it. As soon as you trigger the button, walk back out and let the elevator go up by itself. You’ll see four symbols appearing one after another on its side.
You simply have to place thelowest symbol in the innermost circle and use the sequence of symbols above it on the bigger circles. Once you place the right sequence, you can acquire the Blooming Heart Relic inside. This Relic heals 35 percent of your Max Health over five seconds upon use.
Moreover, it alsospawns three Healing Orbs that grant the same amount of health when picked up. This Relic is perfect if you’re planning to play this game in co-op.
