Pokemon Gohas brought back its annual Water Festival event, this time in the form ofBeach Week.This comes with a new take on this event, offering several unique changes to the game, along with new and exciting features.

As the name Beach Week implies, this event will be available for about a week, taking placefrom Tuesday, June 30, 2025, at 10am local time to Monday, July 16, 2025, at 8pm local time.There’s a lot packed into this week-long event, so we’ve broken down everything you need to know about this event to fully take advantage of it.

Pokemon Debuts

The Water Festival: Beach Week will be debutingSandygastand its evolutionPalossandfor the first time in Pokemon Go. During this event, Sandygast can be obtained through bothField Research EncountersandOne-Star Raids.

It will require50 Sandygast Candyto evolve Sandygast into Palossand, its final evolution.

Event Bonuses

Throughout this event,Rainy Lure Modules will have their duration increasedto four times their standard duration. Make sure to activate this specific type of Lure Module at PokeStops during this event, allowing you to encounter and catch tons of Pokemon.

Additionally, there will be a Global Challenge issued to all Pokemon Go players, requiring the community to make300 million Nice Throwsglobally.

Pokemon Go Lure Modules

If this goal is met, all players will benefit from increased Candy and increased chances of obtaining Candy XL fromcatching Pokemon with Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.

Event Timed Research

There will beEvent Timed Researchavailable during this event, costing$5 USDat the in-game shop.

Purchasing and completing the tasks for this event-exclusive Timed Research will reward you encounters with event Pokemon and theSurfer Pose cosmetic item.

Make sure to complete all tasks and claim all rewards prior to this event ending.

Event Field Research Tasks

You can obtainEvent Field Research Tasksfrom spinning different PokeStop Photo Discs throughout the course of this event. Those that reward you with Pokemon encounters will provide you the opportunity to catch eitherLapras wearing a scarf, Frillish, Binacle, Clauncher,orSandygast.

Additionally, completing some Event Field Research Tasks will reward you withMega Energy.This Mega Energy will either be forBlastoiseorSwampert.

Event Wild Encounters
