Pokemon Gouses its in-game events to bring excitement to the game, changing what players experience for a set amount of time while the event is active. The next one of these events to take place within the game is theSolstice Horizons Event, an event that is centered around both day and night.

You will be able to enjoy the changes and features that come with this event for a little longer than a week, available fromFriday, June 16, at 10am local time to Sunday, June 25, at 8pm local time. There are several components that make up the Solstice Horizons Event, all detailed for you below.
Event Bonuses
For this event, there will only be two bonuses active throughout this event, available to all players who log in throughout this event window.
First, you will have thechance of encountering both Solrock and Lunatoneduring the Solstice Horizons Event. Make sure to take advantage of these two Pokemon being available in the wild because you are typically only able to encounter one, dependent on which specific region you are playing in.
In addition to this, catching any Pokemon during this event will reward you withtwice the Stardustthat it usually does. Stock up on PokeBalls for this event, giving you the resources to catch as many Pokemon as possible, earning you tons of Stardust.
Event Wild Encounter Pokemon
With this event being themed around day and night, there aretwo sets of Pokemon that you can expect to encounter in the wild,one for the daytime and one for the nighttime. These Pokemon will mostly differ from those that you’re used to finding in the wild, so make sure to take advantage of these rare spawns.

This event marks the first time that you will be able to encounterShiny Fomantisin Pokemon Go.
Event Research
Special Research Story: Starry Skies
This new Special Research Story will be available to claim throughout the Solstice Horizons Event,free for all players Trainer Level five and above.
The Starry Skies Special Research Story will require you to complete various in-game tasks, resulting inan encounter with Cosmog.You will also have the option to purchase this Special Research Story asecond time for $5.00 USD,giving you a second helping of rewards, including a second opportunity to catch Cosmog.
Both the standard and paid Special Research Stories canonly be claimed when logging into Pokemon Go during this eventbut can be completed after it has concluded.
Field Research Task Encounters
Collect and complete Event Field Research Tasks by spinning different PokeStop Photo Discs and performing specific actions within the game.
Among these Event Field Research Tasks, those that reward you with a Pokemon encounter will result in anencounter with Fomantis,with the chance of encountering its new Shiny variation.
Event Collection Challenges
There will be Collection Challenges that can be completed during the Solstice Horizons Event, requiring you to catch different event-themed Pokemon. Completing these Collection Challenges will reward you with Stardust and Fomantis encounters.
Event Raid Pokemon
Like other events brought to the game in the past, there will be achange in the standard Raid Pokemon found throughout the worldduring the Solstice Horizons Event. This includes changes in Pokemon for One-Star, Three-Star, Five-Star, and Mega Raids throughout this event.
