A piece of concept art featured inCrash Team Rumble’s battle pass makes it incredibly clear thatSpyroand Ripto are eventually going to be added to the game.
Crash Team Rumble may have only just launched earlier this week, but that hasn’t stopped its players from looking to the future. We already know thatN.Gin and Ripper Roo are being added to the roster in the coming monthsthanks to a roadmap released by Toys For Bob, but some content found in-game might have given away an even bigger update to the roster.

As pointed out by Twitter user KrystalVixon, Crash Team Rumble’s first battle pass contains a piece of concept art that has some big hints that Spyro content is coming in the near future. The 71st tier on the battle pass contains a banner called “Dragon Vision” that might seem innocuous at first, but gets a lot more suspicious when you take a closer look.
Ignoring how on-the-nose the name “Dragon Vision” is, there are a number of very obvious clues in the concept art that this is teasing a Spyro crossover. For starters, two crystal dragons can be seen around the map, which were the main collectibles in the first Spyro game. Two level portals can also be spotted in the distance of the map, another clear hint towards Spyro.
There’s also the fact that Crash is seen riding a dragon in the top-left of the art. Of course, dragons have featured in the Crash series independent of Spyro, but combined with everything else it’s clear that it’s a Spyro crossover. In fact, the temple on the left side almost looks like something straight out of the first Spyro, complete with floating platforms, while the castle on the right looks like an old-timey version of Cortex’s castle. Perhaps it’s a multiveral clash between the two?
In reality, Spyro and Ripto being added to Crash Team Rumble has been one of the game’s worst-kept secrets for some time, which is quite the achievementconsidering its previous life as the long-rumoured Wumpa League. The main thing that tipped everyone off was a banner featured on the game’s website that contained emblems for each character in the game, including several who hadn’t even been announced.
Two of the emblems were very clearly hinting at content from Spyro the Dragon, as Spyro’s wing could be seen (although some initially confused it for newcomer Catbat) alongside Ripto’s amulet. Since several other unrevealed characters were also represented by emblems, including some who were featured in concept art of Wumpa League, it’s been apparent for some time that Spyro content is incoming.
