There’s a lot going on around Forgotten Valley inStory of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, but don’t get so swept up in the bustle of everyday life that you forget to talk to Pui. The local beggar with butterflies flying around his grassy cap, Pui spends most days panhandling for money.

You have the option to donate to Pui to fund his trip back to his home in Coco Island, but will Pui ever go to Coco Island? No, but he will give you a powerful tool upgrade in exchange for a certain amount of donations in A Wonderful Life.
Donating To Pui
You’ll meet Pui very soon after you move to Forgotten Valley, as helives in the Forestwith the Nature Sprites, who are responsible for giving you a bulk of your early-game recipes.
And while the character in the original game was pretty rough around the edges, bearded, buoyant, and surrounded by butterflies, Pui spends his afternoonson the bridge, panhandling fordonations to get to Coco Island.
You may also sporadically see him down at the beach panhandling instead, but this is mostly in the Springtime and fairly inconsistent - he’ll be on the bridge almost every afternoon.
Pui says hecomes from Coco Islandand is accepting donations togo back, asking if you can spare him any gold.
When youinteract with Pui while he’s panhandling, you’ll have four options:
Regardless of the size of your donation, Pui will accept all gold thankfully.
However, he’llstop accepting your donationsafter a time - finally, he has enough to head off to Coco Island! He just has one lastspecial rewardto give you for your help before he takes of.
How To Get The Blessed Sickle
After maxing your friendship with Pui, Keeps your eyes on theBulletin Boardfor when Pui posts a request for aGolden Relic.
Youmust have maxed your friendshipwith Pui before he’ll post his request, too,in addition to donatingregularly.
You can do this by offering him homemade meals, but just remember that hewon’t take food while he’s panhandling, only gold.
Afteraccepting Pui’s requestfromthe Bulletin Board, if you don’t already have a Golden Relic from your time up at theDig Site, head on up toward the waterfall andget to digging.
It may take you a while to find one, but once you’ve got a Golden Relic, gotalk to Puiand tell him you’rethere about his request. You’ll trigger a cutscene that shows Pui giving your farmer theBlessed Sickle, the next tool upgrade for the Sickle after the golden one that Van sells you.
