The next expansion forDragon Ball Z: Kakarotwill reportedly take place during the “End of Z” saga, which acts as an epilogue toDragon Ball Zand features Goku fighting the reincarnation of Majin Buu at the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai tournament.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot may have launched all the way back in 2020 but that hasn’t stopped it from being supported with three years of post-launch DLC. We’re currently halfway through the game’s second season pass, which includes the previously-released Bardock episode and theupcoming DLC taking place during the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai tournament, but we’ve still got one more piece of DLC that has yet to be revealed.

Although Bandai Namco hasn’t officially announced the focus of the next DLC, a reliable insider has reported that it’ll be focused on the End of Z saga (also known as the Peaceful World saga). As the title implies, the End of Z saga takes place ten years after Goku and Vegeta defeat Majin Buu and acts as an epilogue to the main story, showing how all the characters are getting on in the future.

This report comes courtesy of Twitter user DbsHype, who shared two images of Goku and Uub fighting at the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai tournament, saying, “DBZ: KAKAROT DLC 6 about to be amazing!".DbsHype previously leaked the contents of the last two pieces of DLC, so it stands to reason that they’re likely correct about what’s coming with the third expansion.

Along with revealing the focus of the DLC,DbsHype also suggested that it’s going to include a “good amount of extra content”, which makes sense considering the End of Z saga only takes up four episodes in the original Dragon Ball Z anime and is only supposed to be a short epilogue chapter in the manga. This also tracks with what Bandai Namco did for the Bardock and Future Trunks DLC, as both of those feature original content to make them a bit more fleshed-out.

Those of you who were hoping for something from Dragon Ball Super or GT might be a bit disappointed about the focus of this DLC, but it seems that there’s nothing to worry about. While responding to a comment that claimed someone had previously revealed the last piece of DLC was based on GT or Super,DbsHype suggested that another season’s worth of DLC is currently in the works for Kakarotand that it will likely feature content based on Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Super. Looks like there’s a chance for the Tournament of Power yet.
