One of the things that makeThe Outlast Trialsso challenging is that they throw multiple enemies at you at once. You have to learn every enemy’s moveset and dangers to survive a chase and make it out alive. Some enemies are more threatening than others and some enemies are more annoying.

As a beginner Regeant, every enemy can spoil your chance of getting a good grade in the trial. Once you are more equipped to deal with threats, only some of these guys will be worth worrying about. Here is a list of every enemy in the game, ranked by their ability to ruin your game.

10Regular Grunts

Grunts are regular enemies that have weapons, but no other special characteristics. They can have different outer appearances. Grunts will just chase you and wack you as much as they can. They are just there to be a danger and stop you from completing your objectives.

Grunts will be very talkative throughout the trial, chasing you and shouting things about killing you and about Murkoff. They probably do the least damage in comparison to bigger grunts or Prime Assets. Nevertheless, they can down you just the same if you’re not careful.

9The Pusher

As a beginner, the Pusher will be your worst enemy. Once he grabs you, he sprays toxic gas into your face which makes you lose all your sanity.

When all of your sanity is gone, your vision is distorted and a new enemy starts chasing you. Losing your sanity spawns the Skinner Man, who takes a lot of health just by being near you.

The good thing is that once the Pusher gasses someone, he leaves the trial. So if you have an antidote on you already, maybe you want to take one for the team, or maybe you just won’t have to worry as much.

The Pusher himself can’t kill you, so he’s just an annoyance overall.

8The Pouncer

Pouncer’s are by far one of the most annoying enemies in the game. These are the enemies that jump on you and start punching you.

You have to mash your attack button multiple times until the Pouncer gets off you. It is hard to mash fast enough, so you are always bound to lose a quarter of your health.

you’re able to hear Pouncer’s before you see them. They will be breathing or moaning in a hiding spot to let you know not to try that hide spot or go near it.

There is also a perk you can unlock that allows you to kick Pouncer’s off of friends in need. Another ability you can unlock allows you to escape a Pouncer quicker by hitting them with a bottle or brick in your inventory.

7Night Watcher

One of the best strategies for escaping a chase is hiding in the dark. All of the enemies cannot see in the dark, so as long as you are quiet, they will leave the area.

All enemies except the Night Watcher. This guy looks eerily similar to the Pusher, he has goggles and a long weapon in one hand.

The Night Watcher can see in the dark thanks to his goggles, which makes escaping his chase very hard.

Hiding in the dark won’t help you. You will have to rely on looping him or using a hiding spot.

6Leland Coyle

Leland Coyle is a Prime Asset enemy and the main character of the Police Station. He wields an electric baton and will chase you down to the ends of the earth, doing more damage than regular, smaller enemies.

Leland is scary and menacing at best, particularly annoying because he will grab you so that you cannot move or access your inventory. He will then stab and electrocute your hand until you’re free again.

5Mother Gooseberry

Mother Gooseberry is probably one of the more interesting characters. She is also a Prime Asset and main character for Fun Park, so if you get caught by Mother Gooseberry, she will grab you and drill you with her puppet.

This Prime Asset also does more damage than regular enemies. She can be obnoxious and annoying to go against in a trial because she is pretty fast and is always singing out to you, so it always seems like you cannot escape Mother Gooseberry.

4The Imposter

Nothing will surprise you more than your own friend stabbing you in the gut. Imposters are doppelgangers in the game that will take on the appearance of any player in the trial, and there will only be subtle differences in their appearance and username.

It is easy to spot a doppelganger or Imposter because they will be breathing heavily, and their username will be different. If you are in a chase or simply not paying attention, it can be hard to notice that the username is not the same because it will only be a couple of letters off, but these guys will stab you multiple times and then leave the trial.

3Skinner Man

Skinner Man is one of the spookiest enemies in The Outlast Trials. He appears only after you have lost all your sanity, and when you have only one bar of sanity, he will appear as minor jumpscare but cannot hurt you.

When every bar of sanity is gone, he appears physically and can kill you. Thankfully, the Skinner Man can be outrun.

If you survive and heal during his lengthy attack, he will disappear, and your sanity will be restored. you may’t focus on any objectives or other enemies when he is chasing you since your vision gets distorted, and he takes away a lot of health.

2Big Grunts

These are the enemies that every player hides from and avoids as much as possible. They don’t have special attacks or ways of killing you, they are just really big and hurt really bad.

There are multiple types of Big Grunts. One of them has a blindfold, meaning he cannot see you unless you make noise. It is important to know which one you are dealing with.

Another Big Grunt has long chains hanging from him, and one of them is completely naked. These guys can pick you up with one hand and knock you down.

This incapacitates you, and you won’t be able to react or use anything in your inventory until you can recover. They are brutal enemies.

1The Screamer

The Screamer is the most annoying enemy. As a beginner, you could do without these guys.

If you make any noise near them, they will start screaming which will make it, so you cannot move or use any items. This also serves to alert any nearby enemies of your position.

Screamers are compromising and very dangerous if they catch you at a bad time.

As an experienced Regeant, they can be dealt with quickly by not rushing by them and triggering them. You can also throw a bottle at them from afar to make them run away.

Even if you are experienced, we can’t help being chased and running for dear life. Being incapacitated by a Screamer is the worst.
