Being associated with other major titles, such asCyberpunk 2077andStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, toApex Legends, these voice actors have some serious clout.

9Donan

The voice behind the grief-stricken, nightmare-plagued Horadrim, Donan, isJames Goode. Grim, gruff, and well suited for the character’s tone and personality, Goode nailed this major role, a step up from their background character work inDiablo Immortal.

If you’re wondering what other titles Goode has been associated with, they’ve done voice work for myriad games. Some of the most notable titles include: Wolfstride,Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One,Hitman 2,Total War Warhammer 2, and even Cyberpunk 2077. Now that’s an impressive resume.

8Inarius

Inarius, the famous, instantly recognizable rogue angel from one of Diablo 4’s teaser trailers, is voiced by Texas nativeGabe Kunda. Booming, commanding, driven with purpose, and authoritative, Kunda does a great job emulating what you’d imagine an incredibly powerful angel sounds like.

Although they started out in TV series and shorts, Kunda was able to breach into the gaming and voice acting industry in 2018. Although they were only voicing easily forgotten characters in the beginning, like nondescript male voices fromFar Cry 5, Kunda has also landed major gigs, like Newcastle from Apex Legends.

7Lorath

The voice behind the pragmatic, weathered, but nonetheless beloved hermit Lorath, isRalph Ineson. Immediately ear-catching, Ineson brings Lorath to life with a sophisticated, experienced, deep, and low voice that likely gave many players goose bumps on multiple occasions.

Being involved in over 100 roles, Ineson is no stranger to the acting world. Character’s that Ineson has voiced that you may recognize include: Cidolfus Telamon fromFinal Fantasy 16, Amycus Carrow from theHarry Potter And The Deathly Hallowsgame series, and Charles Vane fromAssassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.

6Lilith

The voice behind Lilith, the creator of Sanctuary, daughter of hatred, and Queen of all Succubi, isCaroline Faber. Although not being involved in very many separate roles, Faber personifies Lilith’s confident, sinister, enticing, cunning, and dangerous nature perfectly.

With this being their very first post-production role for a video game, it makes you wonder if Faber did some method acting as a demon for a little while, given such a stellar performance. Perhaps Faber’s involvement in the TV Series Merlin sparked an interest in the magic and fantasy genres?

5Mephisto

Mephisto, one of the three Prime Evils that can appear in various forms, is made palpable through voice acting veteranSteve Blum. Projecting a voice that feels unsettling, untrustworthy, calculated, and just downright scary, Blum successfully encapsulates the persona of the Lord of Hatred.

Having worked in over 800 gigs, it isn’t surprising that Blum has gained both fame and praise. You may recognize Blum as Baraka fromMortal Kombat: Onslaught, Skarn from Diablo: Immortal, Rytlock and Ivan fromGuild Wars 2: End Of Dragons, or Wolverine fromMidnight Suns.

4Elias

A mysterious figure that works closely alongside Lilith, Elias is voiced byAnthony Howell. The lore, values, and persona of Elias, a character driven by a priestly fervor and an unwavering conviction for the side he is on, shows clearly in Howell’s voice acting.

Despite being involved in numerous hit game titles, you’re most likely to recognize Howell as Margit, and consequently Morgott, fromElden Ring. Otherwise, Howell has played Fourchenault and Kairos fromFinal Fantasy 14, as well as the narrator forVampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt.

3Neyrelle

Neyrelle, the stubborn hunter of Horadric artifacts, is voiced by Korean actor, musician, and recording engineerJudy Alice Lee. Lee’s acting grips on to Neyrelle’s determined, unwavering, and inspiring spirit.

From indie games to triple-A titles, Lee has done a little bit of everything. Depending on the game genres you’re into, you may recognize Lee as Mindt fromOctopath Traveler 2, Mireya from Higan: Eruthyll, or Rinko fromGhostWire: Tokyo.

2Prava

In contrast to Elias, Prava is a high priestess of the Cathedral of Light, the right hand of Inarius, and is voice acted byDebra Wilson. Projecting a voice that is resolute in their faith, courageous, and inspiring for the morale of others, Wilson gives Prava the voice she deserves.

Involved in over 200 gigs, Wilson has thus played as some recognizable and notable characters. You may recognize Wilson as Cere Junda fromStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, Miss Whisper fromRedfall, or Grýla fromGod of War: Ragnarök.

1Taissa

Taissa, a character adept in potion making that kindly helped Donan with his insurmountable grief, is voice acted byCherise Boothe. Especially noticeable in some of Diablo 4’s cutscenes, Boothe is able to elegantly and concisely replicate the wide range of emotions Taissa exudes and is put through.

Although Boothe’s video game acting started out with lesser roles from Guild Wars 2 and theXCOMseries, you may recognize them as Sojourn fromOverwatch, Kupuna-Wa fromCrash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, or the female announcer fromDisintegration.
