Miles Morales across the spider-verse

Miles Morales: Earth-1610

Miles Morales first appeared in the Ultimate Universe in 2011 shortly after the Peter Parker of that universe died. Besides the Spider-Verse films, Morales is a significant character in Insomanic’s Spider-Man video game.

In the Spider-Verse universe, Morales follows his Ultimate Universe counterpart filling in for Parker as Spider-Man when he dies. However, how he receives his spider abilities causes massive ripple effects that eventually put the multiverse at risk.

Gwen Stacy across the spider-verse

Gwen Stacy: Earth-65

In nearly every universe, the story of Gwen Stacy ends with her tragically dying. But for the Stacy of Earth-65, her story went a tad differently. Instead of Peter Parker receiving spider powers and becoming a hero, it was Stacy’s turn to swing through the city.

Unfortunately, that means someone else has to die. For Stacy, it was Parker. No matter what happens, death is associated with Stacy, and losing Parker plays a major factor in how she operates as Ghost-Spider and how she handles her relationship with Miles Morales.

Hobie Brown across the spider-verse

Hobart “Hobie” Brown: Earth-138

Also known as Spider-Punk, Hobart “Hobie” Brown resides on Earth-138 and has been the Spider-Man of that universe for three years before being recruited by Miguel O’Hara. Brown’s rebellious attitude toward the idea of rules and following orders makes his recruitment into the Spider-Society interesting but he develops a closeness with Gwen Stacy.

Miles Morales used Brown’s suggestion to overcharge his palms to escape O’Hara’s trap. Without Brown, Morales wouldn’t have had the opportunity to save his father and stop The Spot. Stacy recruited Brown for her own Spider-Team to rescue Morales, so we can expect more from Spider-Punk in the future.

miguel o’hara spider-man 2099

Miguel O’Hara: Earth-928

Miguel O’Hara is theSpider-Man of the future, residing on Earth-928 in the year 2099. This universe is a possible future of the prime Marvel universe of Earth-616 where a massive war between mutants and humans decimated much of the planet.

Before O’Hara became Spider-Man, what was now the United States was controlled mostly by megacorporations like Alchemax. After being drugged by his boss, O’Hara performed a genetic experiment on himself that altered his DNA and gave him spider powers. He formed the Spider-Society to protect the multiverse after he witnessed other universes disappear when you tempt fate, something he hopes to avoid in Across The Spider-Verse.

peter b parker across the spider-verse

Peter B. Parker: Earth-616

Hailing from Earth-616, Peter B. Parker is the Spider-Man of the prime Marvel comics universe. After training Miles Morales on how to be Spider-Man in the first film, Parker returns in the sequel but this time with a newborn baby accompanying him.

Parker reconciled with Mary Jane Watson following the events of Into The Spider-Verse and the pair got married and had a baby girl named May “Mayday” Parker. Not only did Parker have a major impact on Morales’s life as a superhero, but Morales impacted Parker’s life as a person. If Parker never met Morales, he probably wouldn’t have tried rekindling his relationship with Watson.

pavitr prabhakar across the spider-verse

Pavitr Prabhakar: Earth-50101

Pavitr Prabhakar is the Spider-Man of Earth-50101, otherwise known as Mumbattan which is a city based on Mumbai and Manhattan. Prabhakar’s description of being Spider-Man is vastly different than most of the other Spider-People, as he hasn’t experienced losing any significant people in his life.

After failing to capture The Spot on Earth-1610, Gwen Stacy traces the villain to Prabhakar’s universe. Even with the added help of Spider-Punk and Miles Morales, they aren’t able to stop the villain from activating Earth-50101’s Alchemax collider. This triggers a potential canon event for Prabhakar but Morales disrupts it and almost causes his entire universe to be destroyed.

Jessica Drew across the spider-verse

Jessica “Jess” Drew: Earth-404

Not much is revealed of Jessica “Jess” Drew’s backstory in Across The Spider-Verse, but what we do know isshe’s a certified badass. Instead of the usual web-swinging, Drew rides a motorcycle that can cruise on walls and she shoots organic webs from her fingertips. And what’s even more remarkable is the fact that she’s doing all her hero work while pregnant.

Drew is one of Miguel O’Hara’s top operatives in the Spider-Society and is extremely loyal to protecting the multiverse. After helping O’Hara and Gwen Stacy capture the Renaissance Vulture on Earth-65, she persuaded Spider-Man 2099 to let Stacy join their organization.

Ben Reilly across the spider-verse

Ben Reilly: Earth-94

While several Spider-Man adventures involve the multiverse, there are many more that deal with the idea of cloning. Ben Reilly is the result of one of those stories, as he is the clone of Peter Parker and winds up becoming the Scarlet Spider.

Reilly’s history is a tragic one, even by Spider-Man’s standards. Created by Miles Warren, Reilly’s sole purpose was to agonize Parker. However, he eventually came to terms with his existence and settled on a new superhero identity. In Across The Spider-Verse, it’s clear that Reilly’s horrific past still plagues him.

insomniac spider-man across the spider-verse

Insomniac Spider-Man: Earth-1048

PlayStation gamers should’ve instantly recognized the Spider-Man with the white spider emblem on his chest. That was none other than Peter Parker from the Insomniac video game universe.

This Parker variant stopped Mister Negative from releasing a deadly biological weapon in New York City and fought against the full might of the Sinister Six. Earth-1048 is a rare universe with two Spider-People in Parker and a variant of Miles Morales.

lego spider-man across the spider-verse

Lego Spider-Man: Earth-13122

After unexpectedly kicking his own butt, The Spot travels to a pocket dimension within himself. He discovers his holes can access other universes, allowing multiversal travel. Inone of the most unique scenes in the film, he travels to the Lego universe from the Marvel Super Heroes video games.

Earth-13122 is similar to the prime Marvel comics universe of Earth-616 and the MCU of Earth-199999, but the main difference is everything and everyone is Lego. When The Spot disappears, Peter Parker notifies Miguel O’Hara about the anomaly that confirms his involvement with the Spider-Society.
