Diablo 4features multiple open-world events that you’re able to either tackle alone or alongside other players. Gathering Legions are scenarios that can be repeatedly farmed for decent amounts of experience and items. Respawning on a relatively short timer, they offer a nice break from Questing or Nightmare Dungeons and are efficient pieces of content to complete at all stages of the game.

This guide will explain exactly what Gathering Legion events are, how to locate them, the tasks you will have to undertake, and what rewards you might be able to acquire from completing them.

What Are Gathering Legion Events?

Roughly everyhalf an hour, a Gathering Legions event will spawn in one of Estuar’s five regions. Helpfully, the game will notify you of this, andshow a map marker with a countdownuntil the event begins. These events tend to attract a decent number of players, and similarly to world bosses, the more people that arrive, the easier it will be.

They can spawn on any world difficulty, so they can even be completed while you level.

The Gathering Legions events can take place in any of the following locations:

Once you have reached a Legion event, you will notice aCampfire in the centre of the area. Standing near this structure will slowly grant you a stacking buff thatgrants extra experience for 15 minutes. Therefore, you should endeavour to arrive at a Gathering Legions event at least two minutes early, to give yourself enough to reach maximum stacks.

Around Campfire With Other Players And Gathering legions Final Boss In Diablo 4

The goal of the event is toslay Servants of Hell tospawn the final boss, which you must defeat to claim any rewards. Theevent Mastery is to defeat the three Servants of Hell within a certain time frame, which can be difficult if you are playing solo. However, because Gathering Legions are a multiplayer event, completing the Mastery and gaining maximum rewards is usually quite easy to achieve.

As this is a multiplayer event, try helping out your fellow adventures byresurrecting them if they fallorproviding support if they are fighting alone.

Gathering Legion rewards come in the form ofGold,Experience,Crafting Materials,Sigils (if World Tier Three or above), and valuableGear. There is a good chance to gain multiple Legendaries from a Legion event and when you consider the experience you will gain from killing so many enemies, they are well worth doing if you want to increase your level or item power.

How To Take Part In A Gathering Legion Event

Once the Legion event has started, you will noticeflashing white rings on your mini-map. These will show you where the nearby forces of hell are about to spawn. Players shouldtry and spread outin order to defeat them quickly, as completing the Mastery will grant you extra rewards. Once a pack of enemies has been cleared, you will see more white rings, which will progressively move further apart from each other.

As you defeat the spawning enemies, you will see thecompletion bar go up. Once full it will spawn a Servant of Hell, a boss that typically requires you tokill several structures before it becomes targetable. These enemies are nothing to worry about, as they have asimilar power level to regular Elites, and if you have a few other players around they will be quickly taken down.

After the first Servant of Hell has been killed, the event can technically be completed, howeverkilling every Servant will grant an extra loot chest, making it well worth your time to try and kill all three.

Once you have dealt with the Servants of Hell, the final boss will spawn. This encounter will always bea combination of an Overlord and a regular dungeon boss, such as a Spiritcaller of Flame. They are not especially dangerous and can be cleaved down together for a quick kill. Once defeated you will receive eitherone, two, or three loot chests, depending on how many Servants you managed to kill.
