But what makes the Reverie Corridor so great, anyway? It’s a mix of the obvious and the not-so-obvious. Hence, this guide - we’ll point out everything you need to know about Trails into Reverie’s most expansive area.

Introducing The Reverie Corridor

The first time you arrive at the Reverie Corridor, it will be witheither Rean’s team or Lloyd’s.Whoever it is, expect lots of confusion all around. Which is fitting, because the characters are just as lost as we are. What is this Reverie Garden? What are Stratums? What will even happen here to tie it all into the main plot?

Before long, things will come into sharper focus. The big area you enter through houses the Central Core, through which you can do all kinds of things. It’s your database forMaster and Mini Missions. It’s where you can cash in those sweetPhantasmal Shards, too.

Elsewhere in this expansive zone is aplace for mini-game activitiesand ashop. There’s more, but these are the nuts and bolts.

Stratums, The Dungeon Crawl

TheStratumsare the Reverie Corridor’srandomized floor dungeon. As things progress, you will gain access to deeper and deeper rooms;excellent treasure can be found here, albeit at random.Every floor has its set potential treasure spawns, though, so spend a little time farming an area, and eventually you’ll find some good stuff.

You can evenreset Stratumsat the Central Core to keep things fresh.Stratums are essentially Trails into Reverie’s ‘dungeon crawler’ component, complete with the standard ‘find the way to the next floor’ feature and plenty of monsters (and even traps of a sort) impeding your progress. But there’s generallyno better place to grind levelsthan Stratums, not to mention the mountain of treasures you’ll find along the way.

Missions, The Milestones

There aretwo varieties of missions: Mini and Master. The former are rather piecemeal; you might be tasked with doing damage to a certain creature with a specific character a set number of times, or triggering a specified effect in a given environment.

The thing about Mini Missions isthey reset every time you leave the Reverie Corridor, so they’re limitless. There’s no problem if you don’t do them at all every time (in fact, for your sanity’s sake, don’tdo them all every time).

Master Missionsare much more thorough endeavors. They might involve combat, but they can also pertain tofilling out Character Sheets and other in-game catalogs.Rewards for both mission varieties include - among other things - a plentiful supply ofPhantasmal Shardsfor purchasing things here in the Corridor.

Mini Missions always pertain directly to things you’ll do in the Reverie Corridor, mainly down in Stratums. Master Missions frequently involve accomplishing certain difficult tasks outside in the real world.

Trials, The Tough Fights

If you want to participate inbattles typically above the main quest’s degree of difficulty, you’ll be wanting to familiarize yourself with the ever-expanding number ofTrialshere in the Reverie Corridor. The game will dictate the necessity forspecific party compositionsas well asminimum level requirements; then it’s up to you to dare step foot beyond the doorway and face the music.

Further Trials are unlocked sequentially, but must also be found intreasure cheststhroughout Stratums. Which is kind of weird.

Blazing Forge, Millennial Trove

Both theBlazing ForgeandMillennial Troveare excellent shops at the Reverie Corridor. (And they look cool, too.) The Blazing Forge lets youmodify your equipment, orbments, and quartz. The Trove’s even cooler. Some of its functions are as straightforward aspurchasing items, but there’s more.

The Millennial Trove is, well, a veritable treasure trove for anyone who enjoys purchasing cosmetic content likecostumes, hair colors, quirky hats, you name it. Hey, Trails into Reverie’s got 51 playable characters. We should dress them all to their best, right?

Phantasmal Shards, The Currency Of Reverie

Phantasmal Shards- or ‘Dream Fragments’ per the fan translation prior to Trails into Reverie’s official Western launch - area form of currency native to the Reverie Corridor.

There’s so much to spend Phantasmal Shards on that we urge you to simply see for yourself, but for a quick primer, expect to be able to unlock lots ofbattle assistanceboosts, additional mini-game opponents, enemy buff challenges, and a good mix ofconsumable items.

Daydreams, The Story-Savvy Extra Episodes

Daydream Episodesare the closest thing Trails into Reverie has to what other Trails games (and, indeed, most RPGs) would classify as traditionalside quests. You’ll only have a few at first, but over the course of the story, you’ll wind up with a few dozen.

These are relatively short affairs, clocking in as little as 15 minutes to as long as half an hour. The characters who star in Daydream Episodes are often somewhat underserved in the game’s main plot, so it’s excellent to see them shine here. There are sometough boss fightsin some. In others, it’s all talk, and wonderful talk at that. You should aim to complete them all!

The Sporting Cube in Trails into Reverie

The Sporting Stone, Your Mini-Game Home Field

Yet another staple of the Reverie Corridor is theSporting Stone, a cube-like object thatlets you play various mini-games like Pom Pom Party and Who Wants to Be A Mirannaire. There’sVantage Masters, the card game. Don’t miss out onMagical Girl Alisa, the shooter/visual novel crossover we didn’t know we needed.

Like many other aspects of the Reverie Corridor, the number of mini-games available will increase over time. Rewards for victory include consumables, cash, andspecial costumesand (cosmetic) accessories.
