What’s In The Cassette Beasts 1.2 Update?

The big news for those of us who have been working hard to capture every creature is the arrival ofeight new monsters. That’s right, we’re getting eight brand-new species! Let’s go over them all, shall we?

The fun doesn’t stop there. Ahidden locationhas been added to Cassette Beasts. To find it,speak with NPCs at Harbourtown with those telltale quest-giver question marks above their heads. It’s entirely possible some are still waiting on you to do other stuff; soon enough, one will surely point you inthe direction of a recently-discovered mine.

Additionally,ten new moveshave been introduced. Update 1.2 also provides much-neededperformance upgrades for the Nintendo Switch version. Previously, well, let’s just say… there wassubstantialroom for improvement.

Will There Be Online Multiplayer?

At the time of writing, Cassette Beasts lacks online multiplayer (though it sports some excellentco-op options). But there’s good news!Online multiplayer is presently in development. Oh, happy times. Bytten Studio hasn’t been hush-hush on the features we’ll find:

We don’t know when Cassette Beasts will integrate online multiplayer. The devs want us to understand this is a hefty endeavor. It could be a while, but we reckon it’ll be worth the wait.
