There are plenty of puzzles to solve, secrets to uncover, and artifacts to find deep in the Selvadorada jungle. However, there are also many dangers, and your Sim’s trip can be fatal. Preparation is key, and this guide will help you stay safe and find those ancient artifacts.
How To Get To Selvadorada
Selvadorada is adestination worldfrom before worlds had both residential and rental properties so, unfortunately,you cannot live there. Instead, you’ll need totake some time off from work, assuming your Sim has a regular job, andschedule avacation.
When Sims are on vacation at a rental lot they willautomatically use any paid time offthey have accrued in their career.
To schedule your vacationopen your phone and select the green Travel icon. You’ll then see amenu of options, depending on the packs you have installed.
Selvadorada is listed under Destination Worldsand has the most vibrant skyline. Once you’ve chosen it you’ll be given the map of the world, so you canchoose a rental property.

Unless you are taking a large group of Sims and doing some other exploration of the area, or maybe crafting a story involving a large expedition then theHillview Hideawaywill be fine.

Stock will frequently rotate, so you may need toleave the area(via the map) andcome backif you can’t find the items you need.
If you have ahigh skill in Selvadoradian Cultureyou can access asecret menuand purchase extra items bytalking to a vendorand selecting theBuy Supplies and Secret Waresoption.
Once you are in the junglesome items will be consumed automatically while others you can choose to usein specific situations. The flower and machete can be reused, but each time they are, there is a chance you can lose them, somultiple purchases are recommendedfor a long excursion.
How To Start A Temple Excursion
In order to get to the Temple you’ll first need tohead to the entrance of the surrounding jungle complex.To get there simplygo to the mapand selectBelomisia Trailhead National Park.
Here you’ll find aBBQ, bench, and some public toiletsthat can help youget your basic needs upbefore you start your adventure.
Thetemple complex entranceis easy to spot, being marked witha huge vine-covered gate and a large warning sign.
Gates like this will also be spread throughout the area, and each one willrequire the vines to be chopped downthe first time you enter.Make sure you have a macheteto help conserve your energy. Also, remember thatyou can lose it in the bushes, so a spare is a good idea.
If youreturn to the temple groundson a different day, any entrances you cleared during your current vacationwill remain clear.
Pop Up Dilemmas And Their Consequences
Every time you go through an archwayyou will seea pop-up appear with three different options to choose from.Usually, the first one will involvedoing nothing, the next will requirespecific skills to increase the odds of successand the final one willrequire you to consume an item.
Thefirst option results in a debuff,the second willoffer a reward or have a consequence, depending on your luck with the RNG, and the final oneoffers a reward but at the expense of consuming an item.
Below iseach encounteralong with theconsequences of doing nothing, theskills requiredto improve success, theresult if you fail,and theitem requiredif you wish to trade for the reward.
Capybara and the Bees
Which dilemmas you will get isentirely random, but usually theydon’t repeat in each journeythrough the grounds.
Where To Find The Temple
Themain temple grounds are the same each timeyou enter, althoughdifferent temple entrances will be blocked offon each excursion.
After you go through the first archway you’ll findanother archway as well as a bridge. The centre of the map contains a grass circle with trees inside.
The First Temple Grounds Area
You appear on the map atthe entrance marked with an exclamation mark.If you make your way around the path to your left you canmachete the vines on the archway marked with a starand end up ina new area, usually containing a treasure chest.
The arrow points towarda bridge which you’ll need to come back to.
Over The Bridge
This part of the map looks a lot more in-depth than it is. You’ll be able todirect your Sim over the bridge without hitting a loading screenand will end up at the point marked with an exclamation mark.
From here you can stop todig up artifactsat the place marked with an arrow, before continuing tothe only exit, marked with a star.
Final Temple Area
Once more theexclamation mark shows the entranceyou appear in but in this final area, you’ll noticefour different gateways. There is also adig site marked here with an arrowas well as aTree of Emotions, marked with a star.
Theentranceon your immediate left,marked with the number one, will usually lead you to theOmniscan baths.Here you can take a swim and becomeenergised.
Entrance twowill lead to a clearing with a waterfall inside and atreasure chestas well as afishing spot.
Entrance three leads tothe temple.
Entrance four leads to another clearing with atreasure chest.
Each time you enter the temple groundsdifferent gateways may be locked.They can also becomelocked after you have explored a temple, restricting how many times you can explore on each vacation.
After each completed temple exploration you will need to wait at least one full Sim day for the temple to reset. When you leave Selvadorada the entire temple grounds will reset.
Solving The Temple Puzzles
The final gateways will lead you to the temple.The exterior grounds will always look the same but the interior changes each time you enter.
The way forward will always be obvious, but youwill encounter different puzzlesyou’ll need to solve to move forward.
Each puzzle will require you toselect one of four options.In certain areas there areseveral puzzlesand only one will unlock the gate.
You should always select the examine option to rule out as many wrong options as possible.
If you are wrong you’re able to gaina range of negative moodlets, and severely deplete your needsincluding bladder, hygiene, and hunger. However, the real danger is if youtrigger a poison dart trap. This will immediately make your Sim break out in bright green circular rash.If left untreated the poison will have fatal results.
Incorrect puzzle choices can alsotrigger a fire,which can kill you if you can’t extinguish it.You can also die if youtry to get past the poison, fire, or electricitythat covers the gates.
Occasionally, you can also beturned into a skeleton.
While in this state you cando anything a regular Sim can do, except eat food.You’ll find that youslowly begin to starve.The buff appears tolast for a slightly randomised length of time.
Youwon’t usually starve, but it is worth making sureyour hunger doesn’t get too lowwhen you are a Sim, just in case. Youwill alsoneed to have food on handfor when youturn back

Bowl Offering Puzzles
To stand the best chance of identifying the correct bowl you’ll need to level yourArchaeology Skill.It’s also worth noting thatyour Sim will automatically make an offeringwhen you choose the bowl you want, youdon’t need a specific itemto do so.
Pillar Puzzles
These pillars with a hole in the front can be more successfully deciphered by those with a highFitness Skill. Once instructed, your Sim willput their hand in the suggested sideof the pillar.
Pressure Plate Puzzles
These are the most complex puzzles. While a highSelvadoradian Culture Skillcan help you find the right option you’ll need tochange your Sims dominant emotionto activate it.
There arefour different emotionsand the fastest way to change your Sim’s mood is toeat the berries from the Tree of Emotions, several of which can be found in the temple grounds. However, if you run out of berries there are areas you can go to influence a Sim’s mood.
Confident- Eat theGutsberryor journey to thehidden area with a crashed planenear the entrance to the grounds to become confident.
Energized- Eat aVimberryor head over to theOmniscan Bathsto swim in the waters and become energized.
Flirty- Eat aFlutterberryor headover the bridgeto gain a Flirty moodlet.
Inspired- Eat aMuseberryor walk to theCliff edgeto get inspired by the beautiful scenery.
Once your mood is correct you’ll be able tostep onto the plate.
Skeleton Puzzles
The Skeleton puzzle requires your Sim topull the weapons of the Skeletonsin order to activate the correct mechanism. A highHandiness Skillwill help you here.
Three-Piece Pillar Puzzles
Here a highLogic Skillcan help you better work out which combination will line up when youpull the lever.
Totem Puzzles
The totem puzzles require you to talk to the totems, meaning that a highCharisma Skillwill come in handy here. There are two positive actions and two negative ones, butany of them can be correct.
Temple Rewards
Rewards in the temple will vary, and they include Simoleons, as well as a range of artifacts. The items you may gain are:
You’ll need to eitherauthenticate the items using an archaeology table or pay to get them authenticated.you may find bothauthentic and fake itemsin the jungle, with the former being much more valuable.
How To Cure Poison
If your Sim is hit by a poison dart theeffects will be immediate. After a brief look of panic they will break out in abright green circular patterned rash.
You have72 hours toget hold of an antidote so that your Sim doesn’t die. There are two ways to do this, purchase one or ask a local for one.
Where To Purchase The Antidote
If you have$1000 Simoleonsto blow then head over to theAlam Museum of Archaeologyin Selvadorada anduse the computer. On the first page of options you’ll be able topurchase an Antidote.
You appear tohave to be in Selvadoradato ask for or purchase the antidote sodon’t return home until you are cured.
How To Get An Antidote From A Local
While exploring the temple you should findAncient Bone Dustin theTreasure Chests and dig piles.To gain an antidote from a local simply chat to them until they offer you the option toAsk for Antidote.
You will nowgive them one Ancient Bone Dust and receive the antidotein exchange.
You can find the antidotein your inventory, and it appears as agreen liquid in a small glass. Simply click on it and selectChug Antidote.Your Sim will drink it andimmediately return to full health.
Once at full health you can return home and appraise your finds.
