The giant ocean is one of the main reasons people loveDave The Diver, and you’ll find plenty of fish species while you’re exploring it. Most of these fish can be found at a certain depth or in a specific area all the time, but some of them require special conditions.

These conditions can be a specific time of the day or weather. Striped Catfish is one of the fish that can only be found in special conditions, so it might be hard for you to find them. Although, there’s a little trick that you’re able to use to make the process easier.
Where To Find Striped Catfish
Simply put, you may find Striped Catfishswimming around in a group anywhere between the depths of zero to 50 meters. While this depth can already be explored at the start of the game, there’s another important requirement to find these fish. When you dive in the water during the day, sometimes you’ll find a special kind of ocean.
This ocean will beoverflowing with long Seaweeds that’ll be covering your screen completely. you’re able to only find this once you’re further into the game, so don’t try to find this fish at the start. Once you have the correct type of ocean (shown in the picture), you can start looking for your prey.
If you want to get Striped Catfish on a specific day, you cansimply dive underwater and check if you got the required ocean.
If you didn’t, you can immediately close the game without saving it and start it again. It’ll put you back on the boat and you can dive again.
If you use the process mentioned above, you’ll eventually stumble upon this ocean, though it might take a while.Make sure you save just before the dive just in casethe game doesn’t autosave your progress.
How To Catch Striped Catfish
Striped Catfish are aggressive and they usually roam around in huge groups.They’ll start attacking you as soon as you get anywhere close, and their sheer number can easily overwhelm you. With all of this in mind, the best way to catch these fish is byusing a Net Gun on them. This gun can capture multiple Striped Catfish in one go.
Not only will you avoid taking damage with this method,but you’ll also be able to get a three-star version of the fish. If you don’t want to use the Net Gun, you can use the normal Harpoon to catch a two-star version or aTranquilizing gun to get the three-star.
