Layers Of Fear (2023)combines the stories of the first and second games in the series, complete with all the DLC plus some brand-new content. They’re now designed to be played in order, as part of an external framing story about a struggling writer.

Both of the original games were fairly short, focused on telling a story, but had lots of hidden content for dedicated players. The remake is no different; you may play through the story once, or go through again and again to find all the possible endings and collectibles.
How Long Does It Take To Complete The Main Story In Layers Of Fear (2023)?
According to HowLongToBeat, players report completing the main story with anaverage playtime of around eight-and-a-half hours.This spans the stories of both main games (the Painter’s Story for the first game, and the Actor’s Story for the second) plus the interludes focused on the Writer.
The two side stories, Inheritance and The Final Note, are optional and can be played after completing the Painter’s Story by reading the books next to the Writer’s desk. Each one takesroughly forty-five minutes to an hourto complete, so a full run of all four stories should takeabout ten to eleven hours in total.

How Long Does It Take To Find Everything In Layers Of Fear (2023)?
If you want to see everything there is to see in the game, you’ll need toplay through each story several times. You can revisit individual stories from the Chapters Menu, without having to start and play through a full campaign each time.
Each story has three endings, except for The Final Note, which has two. This means you’ll need to play through each story at least that many times to see every ending, and dedicate some extra time to searching for hidden items. All told, this adds up toapproximately thirty to thirty-two hoursassuming you don’t repeat any endings.
