Escapist Solider Battle Strategy

Without a doubt the most major irritation you and the Investigation Team will face during this battle is with thestatus ailmentsthat Escapist Soldier can (and regularly will) inflict.

It uses bothFoul BreathandStagnant Airregularly during the battle to add a layer of certainty to the additional effects of its physical attacks.

Confusionwill make it so that your teammatesattack one anotherwhile also possiblyhealing Escapist Soldier, andragelocks anyone afflicted into using theirdefault physical attacksonly.

Because of this, you’ll want tokeep Yukiko focused on healing and removing ailmentsas needed. Rage isn’tasdetrimental to the team as confusion, but both will see youwasting turnson moves that aren’t as effective, prolonging the battle.

And while Escapist Soldier is primarily a physical attacker, don’t forget about Mudoon. It has a60 percent chanceto instantly kill each of the members of the Investigation Team.

If Yukiko is taken outby a stray Mudoon, have someone else who survivedrevive her immediatelywith an item so that she can get back to work on patching up the team with SP.

Keep Yosuke and Teddie on offensethroughout the fight, as their magic will do the most damage to Escapist Solider. Have them focus onmagic attacksover physical.

One of the best uses forYuin this battle, if you’re not focused on outright damage, is usingbuffs, debuffs, and performingadditional healing. Yosuke and Teddie will do a good amount of damage alone, andbuffing them and debuffing Escapist Soldierwill only increase that amount.

Overall, as long as you keep abreast of the status ailment, the fight is pretty outright. Take out Escapist Soldier for a sweet boost toyour Courage stat.
