Analyze Weakness

The setup willhelp your Attackers land more hits while dealing damage and reducing Aggro. The Healers will build less Aggro but still heal their teammates, have benefits from reviving, and alsohelp the Chain Attack meter fill faster.

As for the Defenders, they’ll maintain the Aggro while also having higher defenses and Evasion to survive.

As for your Unity Pairings, pickMatthew and Rex, A and Shulk, and Nikol and Glimmer. The combination allows Matthew and Rex to exploit the enemy’s weakness to deal more damage.

On top of that,A and Shulk will offer more Accuracy and Evasionto help them remain alive and avoid attacks.

Nikol and Glimmer will also boost the damage of your teamas the fight goes on. Since this one can take a while, you’ll want to maximize the damage through them. As a bonus, you’ll have access to Smash, Blowdown, and Burst, which you can use as needed.

How To Beat Heidel Taos

Once you’ve prepared for this fight, it won’t be more challenging than a Unique Monster.

You’ll get through the fight as long as Nikol and Shulk can maintain the aggro while you have your Attackers fight, and Healers heal.

Heidel Taos does resist some of the Status Effects, so you’ll need to watch for a Break and then do the standard Topple into a Launch and end it with a Unity Combo.

If you want to make the fight easy, wait until Heidel Taos drops to about half health, and then go for a Chain Attack. If you canactivate Rex’s and Matthew’s Orders early, you’ll deal tons of damage and nearly defeat Heidel Taos.

Overall, the fight has few surprises, so you should level up a bit if you struggle.

Preparing For Rex And Shulk

Now that you defeated the other boss, you’ll want to change your equipment to win against Rex and Shulk. This fight is different from normal sinceyou’ll fight them with only Nikol and Glimmer.

For Nikol, you should give him aShell Protector to keep his Block Rate upwhen his health gets low, since Rex and Shulk will deal consistent damage to him.

You should alsoequip a Shell Cameo, so Nikol will get more heals from Glimmer. As for his Gems, you should go withSteel Protection or Ironclad, based on your preference. Steel Protection will help you take less damage, while Ironclad will give you more health.

As you focus on Glimmer, you’ll want togo with Lifebearersince you won’t concentrate on reviving, making your heals critical. Glimmer will also perform well with anAffection Necklace and Friendship Ringduring this battle.

Since you want to increase your healing, the Affection Necklace will work well, and the Friendship Ring will help you avoid Aggro build-up.

How To Beat Rex And Shulk

How the strategy plays out depends on who you play as.

If you play as Nikol, immediately target Rex, and start the fight using your Whirlwind Art. This will draw Aggro from both Shulk and Rex, and since Glimmer won’t deal nearly as much damage as Nikol, he’ll maintain the Aggro.

From then on, keep attacking with Nikol anduse your Arts alongside Fusion Artsto deplete their health.

If you play as Glimmer, you’ll want touse her Arts one at a time to maximize her healing, thanks to her passive ability.

Just watch Nikol, keep yourself close to him, andkeep his health up. However, you shouldstand away from him if you’re not healing him. Both Shulk and Rex have AoE attacks, sothey’ll hit both of you if you stand too close.

You canswitch between Nikol and Glimmerby holding down ZL and pressing L or R. Feel free to switch between them if you need them to do something specific.

For example, if Glimmer is drawing Aggro, you canchange to her and move around to prevent her from auto-attackingor using Arts until Nikol has the Aggro again.

Ultimately, you want todefeat Rex first since he deals the most damage. On top of that, Shulk can dodge attacks thanks to his high Agility, so he can be frustrating to fight while dealing with Rex.

Aside from standard damaging moves,Shulk has an Aggro-drawing move. When you see a chain connect between him and Nikol and Glimmer, that means you can only attack him for a while. As soon as the chain breaks, switch your attention to Rex.

Otherwise, try tobring Rex and Shulk closer, so you’ll hit them both with your AoE attacks.

Since Nikol can only apply Launch, and Glimmer can’t apply any of the Status Effects, you can’t perform the standard Burst or Smash combo. That means you shoulduse your Unity Combo as soon as it fills up, so you’ll maximize the damage.

Try your best tokeep Nikol alive. While you can revive him with Glimmer, Rex and Shulk will start attacking her, and even if you revive Nikol, they’ll defeat Glimmer so fast that you can’t draw the Aggro.

With that in mind, you shouldplay as Glimmer if Nikol starts falling below 50 percent healthto maximize her healing abilities.

It comes down to a fight of endurance, so if you lose, you may need to level up until you can overpower them.

Once you finish the fight, you’ll watch a cutscene, then you need toreturn to Riku’s Workshop to finish the quest.
