Some of the shrines found in the sky are also associated with quests, making them more unique in comparison to their land-locked cousins down below. There’s definitely a myriad of intricate locations on the ground in Hyrule, but don’t neglect what’s below and above you, there’s plenty to see.

How To Start The Shrine Quest

You’ll need to reachthe Kumamayn Shrine, located in the Necluda Sky Archipelagoin order to begin the quest. If you’re still on the ground,launch yourself from the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Towerto get into the sky.

Paraglide to the southeastfrom your launch point and try to land on the first spot you see to reach the Archipelago. You’ll see a few small islands; your destination is thelong, slightly L-shaped island beside a giant circular arena.

Make your way to this island andinteract with the shrine to receive The Necluda Sky Crystal quest.

The shrine will be inaccessible at first but can be reactivated byretrieving its large green crystal.

There will bea very long beam of green lightemitting from the shrinethat shows you where the crystal is.

Once you spot the direction of the green light beam,head off eastward toward the circular islandto encounter a small obstacle in your path.

How To Complete The Necluda Sky Crystal

On your way to the island, you’ll have toglideacross a gap to reach the next landing area.

Take note of the largelaunching device on your route to the circular island; you will need it soon.

Link outside the Kumamayn Shrine in The Legend Of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Move past the launcher toward the circular arena to find yourself face-to-face witha massive Flux Construct holding your green crystal.

Engage the Construct andreclaim that green crystalusing whatever method you see fit.

Link approaches The Necluda Sky Crystal Reward Chest in The Legend Of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The fight is entirely optional here, soyou can steal the crystal and run awayif you’re not prepared for a fight.

Once you’ve either defeated the Construct or simply stolen the crystal,return to the island where you saw the launcher.

You’ll have toreposition the launcher to face the western islandwhere you first discovered the shrine.

Use theStakeon the launcher to set it in an angled position (about 70 – 75 degrees),so it will create a longer arc for any launched object.

Movethe launcher as close to the edge as possible. Sometimes the force of the launch isn’t as much as you’d expect, so take every precaution.

Grab thegreen crystal and launch it back to the western island, then follow suit by launching yourself as well.

Grab the crystal andcarry on with it toward the Kumamayn Shrine.

Once you reach the shrine, a short cutscene will play showing the crystal being absorbed and enlarged to the size of a normal shrine crystal.

Congratulations, you reactivated Kumamayn Shrine andcompleted The Necluda Sky Crystal quest.
