Whenever you fight hordes of enemies inFinal Fantasy 16, they will often wait around and attack individually. Enemies will often strike each other and scramble in their attempts to wear you down. The Pack breaks this trend with strong coordinated attacks that can leave you open to being torn apart. This Notorious Mark is available after completing the Things Fall Apart main quest. Separating members of the pack and destroying any opportunity they have to work together is critical for this fight.

Where To Find The Pack

The Pack is locatedsouth of Tabor, Dhalmekia.Travel tothe Obelisk in Tabor, head south, and take a rightat the fork in the road. Then take a left intothe circular dead end.Keep moving forward, and you’ll see The Pack running around.

How To Beat The Pack

The Pack is a group of five Pack Wolves that all coordinate together in their attacks.Taking down each member of The Pack individuallyis a solid strategy to decrease their overall attack capabilities.

A Pack Wolf will jump forward and strike you with their claws.

Pack Wolveswill use this attack constantly when not using Thrill of The Hunt.You need tododge the moment a Pack Wolf is in the air, leaping toward you. Failing to dodge this attack is no big deal, as it doesn’t do much damage.

All remaining Pack Wolves will rush forward and claw at you, one after another.

Failing to dodgethe first hit from this attack will prevent you from being able to dodge until the last Pack Wolf attacks.Dodging the first hit from this attack is critical to keep moving.

Thrill of the Hunt will be used constantly throughout this fight. You caneither learn to dodge this attack properly or disrupt this attack with Eikonic abilities.You can cancel Thrill of the Hunt by launching Pack Wolves into the air or splitting them up. Abilities likeAerial Blast and Upheavalare great for separating members of The Pack.

Alternatively, you could take advantage of The Pack’s tendency to swarm you. Using abilities likePile Drive, Scarlet Cyclone, and Wicked Wheelis great for attacking every Pack Wolf at once. These abilities should be used whenever you have an opening sincePack Wolves can’t be staggered.
