The base of Fenrir is to blind enemies with his gadget, the F-NATT Dread Mine. As you have to activate it yourself, it can take some getting used to while you juggle strategies and killing enemies or not getting killed yourself. Like any operator, you can get creative or follow the meta on how to play the character. Knowing the basics and some pro-level ideas will prepare you to jump into Fenrir’s shoes.
6Pair With Other Abilities
Winning in a match of Siege comes largely down to having the right combination of operators. Having Fenrir on the board when defending means you should have at least one person who can pair well with his Dread Mines. Carrying five, up to three of which can be activated at a time, means you can spread out to go with other traps around the map. As you blind someone, they can easily get trapped bya Frost mat, run into an explosive Kapkan trap, or get flustered and then killed by Thorn’s Razorbloom.
At times, it is not about killing enemies. You can have synergy with Fenrir without trying to kill the other team. Slowing people down can run the time out and lead to a win. Pairing with Melusi will slow and blind people. If you have a Clash, she can zap people while they are blinded and searching for the signal to destroy the Dread Mine.
5The Best Loadout
Selecting the right equipment will get you on the right path when playing Fenrir. For his primary guns, he has a shotgun, but you should opt for his SMG, the M97. Its low recoil with the combination of a flash hider means you will secure your kills. You can get shotgun utility by selecting the powerful BALIFF 410 handgun. You can also use his 5.7 pistol if you want a regular handgun.
The gadgets for Fenrir are barbed wire anda bulletproof camera. While the barbed wire can slow people down and signal movement to nearby players, the bulletproof camera will get better utilization. you may always see your Dread Mines and figure out which one has been activated. The camera will help you narrow the enemy’s location and can be used by your team when they need to check the cameras. Intel is always one of the best weapons your team can utilize.
4Preferred F-NATT Placements
When not activated, the F-NATT is bulletproof, but when activated, it can be destroyed by being shot. As they stick to most surfaces, you can get creative to hide them as long as the radius encompasses a player’s body. Tight corners, behind objects, and under objects are great ways to hide the Dread Mines. While blinding someone, it signals where it is, but you can slow the person down in finding the F-NATT.

When placing the F-NATT Dread Mines, you will want to hold off during the prep phase. Reinforce and look for good spots around the map that you want to use. This strategy makes it, so the enemy will have a higher chance of not knowing where you placed the mines. Then, activate them later in the round to maintain their presence and lower the risk of getting destroyed.
3Know Your Counters
Be aware of your counters, so you can either prepare or you can be mentally ready to kill rather than gain great utilization from your Dread Mines. The biggest thing about Fenrir’s ability is that even when in bulletproof mode, it can be destroyed by grenades or other explosives carried by Ash or Zofia. Jager can help protect your devices.
Another counter is thatBrava can hack your gadgets. Look out for her distinctive drone to protect your Dread Mines when possible. When hacked, you will want to destroy them as you and your team can have your views limited by the fog. Whether it is Mute or looking out for drones, you should be able to keep your Dread Mines safe from Brava.
2Passive Playstyle
you may get away with playing Fenrir as an anchor if that fits your playstyle. As you can see and activate the Dread Mines from anywhere, you can rest on-site while activating the traps. This way, you will be able to protect the objective while using your gadget properly.
By staying on-site, you can get kills when people enter the site and get blinded by your device. By hiding around corners or using cover, then you can pop around to get the blinded enemy. Just in case someone destroys the Dread Mine, you will want to stay hidden as you may not catch them in time before their blindness wears off.
1Aggressive Playstyle
Fenrir does work as a roamer if you want to have that more aggressive playstyle that puts you out in the open on the map. Some of the same tips apply, like staying hidden until your trap is activated can secure a kill.
By roaming around, you can be more aggressive in your gadget placements and how you catch people off guard. Rather than waiting until they reach the point, you can get them when they are least prepared to fight an enemy. Throwing your gadgets outside can result in handy spawn peaks if you want to get nasty with your strategies.
