Leafeon has massive potential regarding its effectiveness on the battlefield, but with that comes a high skill ceiling. With this, it’ll require the best move combinations and builds to truly maximize this Pokemon’s potential in Pokemon Unite. Use this guide to master Pokemon Unite’s latest addition, allowing you to be a dominant force on the battlefield.

When To Pick Leafeon

As aSpeedster, it’s best to play as Leafeon when you’re looking for a fast-paced in-game experience. With the ability to quickly move around the battlefield, playing as Leafeon proves to be an exciting experience.

One of Leafeon’s primary sources of mobility comes from itsChlorophyll Gauge,a meter that charges when you’re not in tall grass. When the Chlorophyll Gauge is completely full, Leafeon will benefit fromincreased movement speed.

Using a Basic Attack when your Chlorophyll Gauge is full will result in a boosted attack, dealing more damage and slowing the enemyit hit.

This will consume the entire Chlorophyll Gauge.

Because of this mobility, Leafeon finds great success when opting to play in thecentral lane of the map. When playing here, make sure to quickly knock out wild Pokemon in the area while also making sure you’re helping out your allies in other portions of the map.

Leafeon can still be successfully played in either the top or bottom lanes as well. If this is the case, make sure that you’re assisting your teammates in the area and being present at match objectives and large team fights.

All in all, Leafeon is an easy Pokemon to pick up but difficult to master. Taking this Pokemon to the next level lies in the player’s ability to effectively use its moves, allowing you to combine multiple attacks for devastating combos.

Leafeon: Solar Blade Build

This buildcenters around Leafeon’s Chlorophyll Gaugemechanic, allowing you to rapidly use your attacks to deal massive amounts of damage.

Move Selection

For this build, chooseSolar Bladeas your first move, an attack that you charge up to build power, firing and dealing damage in a straight line pattern. When using this move with a full Chlorophyll Gauge, the cooldown of this move will be significantly reduced.

Pair this withLeaf Blade, an attack that causes Leafeon to dash, then deal damage around itself. This move will dealincreased damage to those hit with the outer areaof this attack, charging Leafeon’s Chlorophyll Gaugeas well.

To effectively combine these moves, use Leaf Blade to fill your Chlorophyll Gauge prior to using Solar Blade.

This will allow you to quickly use Solar Blade again, giving you the firepower to deal tons of damage to the opposition.

Held Items

With mobility being such an important part of Leafeon’s play style, theFloat StoneHeld Item is always recommended, regardless of the build you’re using.

With this build focusing on dealing large amounts of damage, you could pair this withoffensive-minded Held Items, including options like theAttack WeightandScope Lens.

Battle Item

To further Leafeon’s mobility, both theEject ButtonorX-SpeedBattle Items prove to be effective when playing as this Pokemon.

Leafeon: Razor Leaf Build

This build focuses on Leafeon dashing toward and away from enemies, allowing you toattack and safely evade danger.

Make sure to select the moveRazor Leafto start when playing with this build. This attack sendsfive leaves in a designated direction, damaging those hit by it, then staying on the ground afterward. Using this move again will bring these five leaves back to your position, again damaging anyone they hit.

Waiting to recallthe leaves from this attack willincrease the damage that they dealwhen they are coming back toward you.

Additionally, whenever all five leaves hit a single target,Leafeon is granted a shield.

For your second move, chooseAerial Ace,a dash move that also deals damage to those hit by it. This move has amaximum of two charges, allowing you to store up and quickly dash twice in a row.

The next basic attack used after performing Aerial Ace will haveboosted damage.

To effectively play with this build, dash toward opponents, then follow that with yourRazor Leaf attack and boosted Basic Attack. This allows you to quickly deal damage to different opponents while also giving you the ability todash away with Aerial Ace’s second use.

Again, theFloat StoneHeld Item is recommended whenever you choose to play as Leafeon. Pair this with other Held Items like theMuscle BandandRazor Claw, adding to the damage this Pokemon deals to opponents.

Alternatively, you could swap out one of these Held Items withEnergy Amplifier. This will increase the damage and effectivenessof Leafeon’s Unite Move.

Similar to the previous build, you will want to equip a Battle Item that adds to this Pokemon’s overall mobility on the battlefield. Again, this includes either theX-SpeedorEject ButtonBattle Items.
