As you finish the main story of this area by defeating the final boss, you’ll acquire Fire Trailblazer for free.
Being a Preservation character, this Trailblazer excels in protecting the team either by tanking all the damage or shielding their party members. Since the game features turn-based combat, it’s important to protect your characters from taking damage.

Best Relics And Planar Ornaments For Fire Trailblazer
If you’ve acquired Fire Trailblazer, there’s a high chance that you’vealready unlocked Relics since one of the Caverns of Corrosion is shown during the final quest. Relics can be farmed from these Caverns as soon as you unlock them, but it’s recommended to wait until you’re Trailblaze Level 40 to do so.
On the other hand, you canget Planar Ornaments from Worlds three to sevenof Simulated Universe.
Though you’ll have to reach the second difficulty for Worlds Three and Four if you want five-star Ornaments.
If you havetwo or four pieces of the same set in either Relics or Ornaments, you’ll get a special bonus unique to that set. Here are the best set bonuses for Fire Trailblazer:
Relics
Guard Of Wuthering Snow
You’re going to be tanking a lot of hits as Fire Trailblazer astheir Skill taunts all the enemies. To make good use of this taunt, the mentioned set will reduce your DMG taken by eight percent for two pieces.
Moreover, if your Trailblazer’s health is equal to or lower than 50 percent,the four-piece bonus of this set will regenerate a bit of their HP and Energy. This can help you use your Ultimate more as well.
Knight Of Purity Palace
The two-piece bonus of this set will give your Trailblazer 15 percent extra DEF, which is the stat that scales your shield. Moreover, you’ll also be able to tank more damage with the shield created by the Trailblazer.
The reason why this set isn’t better than Guard of Wuthering Snow isthat Trailblazer’s shield isn’t that tanky in the first place.
Planar Ornaments
Sprightly Vonwacq
This set willincrease the Trailblazer’s Energy Regeneration Rate and advance your actions forward onceif you have 120 SPD or more. You’d ideally want to have over that amount of SPD on this character anyway.
The more turns you get,the more you’ll be able to taunt the enemies. Moreover, this will make your Ultimate charge up significantly faster.
Belobog Of The Architects
This set can give youup to 30 percent DEF if you have a 50 percent Effect Hit Rate or more. The only problem is that you’d not be looking for Effect Hit Rate on Trailblazer when it comes to Relics.
This is because the only effect this character applies is Taunt,and you have a 100 percent base chance of applying that. Essentially, you’ll only be able to get 15 percent DEF if you want to use this set.
Each Relic and Planar Ornament has amain stat and up to four sub-stats for five-star items. For some gear like the Head and Hands, this stat is always the same (HP and ATK respectively). Other than those, here are the main stats you should look for:

Best Light Cones For Fire Trailblazer
Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail are divided into seven categories based on their path. TheCone’s path needs to be the same as the character’s pathfor its special ability to trigger. With that in mind, here are some of the best Light Cones for Fire Trailblazer:
Moment Of Victory
As soon as you equip this Light Cone on Fire Trailblazer,they’ll get 24 percent DEF and Effect Hit Rate at Superimposition one, which makes it possible to get the full effect of the Belobog Of The Architects Ornament set.
It alsoincreases your chance of getting attacked and increases your DEF by another 24 percentfor one turn if you’re attacked. This can be pretty helpful with the Trailblazer’s taunt.
She Already Shut Her Eyes
This Light Cone gives you some HP and Energy Regeneration Rate as soon as you put it on Fire Trailblazer. It alsoincreases your party’s DMG whenever Trailblazer loses HP.
With the small shield and the taunt provided by Trailblazer,you can easily trigger the effects of this Light Cone with her.
Texture Of Memories
This is a simple Light Cone that relies on the character getting attacked, which is easy for the Trailblazer. Apart from giving an eight percent Effect RES,it also gives you a shield if you don’t have one when you get attacked.
If you do have a shield,this Light Cones decreases the amount of DMG you take. It can also be acquired for free in Herta Shop.
Landau’s Choice
This is a simple four-star Light Cone that increases your chances of getting attacked whilealso reducing the DMG you take. The first part might not be as useful for the Trailblazer, but the second part makes it worth it.
Day One Of My New Life
This Light Cone not only buffs the Trailblazer but also all the party members permanently. Itgives the Trailblazer 16 percent DEF and increases the DMG RES of all allies by eight percent in battle.
Knowing how small this character’s shield is, the DMG RES boost can help a lot.
Trend Of The Universal Market
You’ll get a 16 percentincreased DEF and a special effect if someone attacks you with this Light Cone. When that happens, you’ll apply the Burn effect on the enemy, which will make them take DoT based on your DEF.
Amber
For newer players whodon’t have access to any of the Light Cones mentioned above, Amber is the best three-star choice. It gives you up to 64 percent extra DEF at Superimposition five if your health is less than 50 percent.
Fire Trailblazer Traces Overview And Priority
When you switch from Physical Trailblazer to Fire, you get an entirely new set of Traces that are based on Preservation. Here’s what their new Traces do:
Ice-Breaking Light
Basic Attack
Deals a certain amount of Fire DMG to a single enemy based on your level. When enhanced,this ability deals extra damage to the enemies surroundingthe target.

Skill
Taunts all the enemies on the field, reduces the DMG taken, and gives you one stack of Magma Will.
War-Flaming Lance
Ultimate
Deals Fire DMG to all the enemies on the fieldbased on your ATK and DEF. Moreover, your next basic attack will be enhanced for free.
Treasure Of The Architects
Talent
Yougain one Magma Will stack whenever you’re hit by an enemy, up to a total of eight. You can consume four of these stacks to perform an enhanced basic attack mentioned above.
Moreover, whenever you use the three abilities mentioned above,Trailblazer provides a shield to all the allies.
Call Of The Guardian
Technique
Whenever you start the next battle after using your Technique,Trailblazer gains a shield based on their DEFfor one turn.
The Strong Defend The Weak
Bonus Ability
Reduces the DMG taken by your allies by 15 percent after using your Skill.
Action Beats Overthinking
If the Trailblazer has a shield at the start of the round,their ATK will be increased by 15 percent and they’ll regenerate five Energyuntil their action is over.
Other than the main Traces mentioned above,you’ll also be able to get a bunch of stat sticks in Trailblazer’s tree.
These include ATK, DEF, and Max HP.
If you’re planning to upgrade Fire Trailblazer’s Traces,the Talent takes priority since it gives a shield to all your party members. You can follow this up with the Skill so that you can get an extra reduction on the amount of damage you take. These two abilities are where you’ll get the most value from this character.
You can upgrade your Ultimate after that andleave your Basic Attack at around level five unless you want to deal a bit of damage.
