Pokemon Gois providing you with a brand-new Raid Day, this time as a way to introduce a Pokemon making its in-game debut. This Pokemon is Kleavor, Scyther’s alternated evolution that first appeared in Pokemon’s Eighth Generation.

The Kleavor Raid Day will be taking place on Saturday, May 6, from 11 am local time to 2 pm local time, populating Pokemon Gyms with Kleavor Raids during this event window. In addition to Kleavor being featured in Raids, there will be a handful of bonuses available to all who participate, ones that you definitely won’t want to miss out on.
Pokemon Debut: Kleavor
With Kleavor making its Pokemon Go debut with this Raid Day, it’s important to discuss the details of this specific Pokemon.
First discussing its specific type combination, Kleavor is aBug and Rock dual-type Pokemon,differing from the typing of the other two Pokemon in its evolutionary line, Scyther and Scizor.
Although Kleavor evolves from Scyther, you will not be able to complete this evolution in Pokemon Go currently.
As of right now, the only way to acquire Kleavor isthrough the successful completion of its Three-Star Raid.
With this dual-typing, Kleavor isresistant to both Poison and Normal-type attacksand isweak against Rock, Steel, and Water-type attacks.It’s important to keep these in mind when choosing which Pokemon to battle with during Kleavor’s Raid.

As mentioned previously, during this Raid Day,Kleavor will be available in Three-Star Raids,providing you with less of a challenge compared to other higher-tiered Raid encounters. For this reason, you can expect to defeat Kleavor witha group ofone to three Trainers.
That being said, if you are attempting to complete this Raid with a smaller group, or even solo, it’s important that you’re going into it with solid counters to Kleavor. Thisincludes powerful Rock, Steel, or Water-type Pokemon,with attacks that match their specific typing.
Additionally, you’ll want tomake sure that you’restocked up on different Potions and Revivesfor this Raid Day. This will allow you to quickly revive and heal any Pokemon that were knocked out in Raid battles, allowing you to rapidly move onto the next one.
