Diablo 4is best played with a keyboard and mouse, asthe old hack-n-slash genre requires a lot of button inputs. Keyboards have more buttons than a controller, allowing you to go into a haze as you mash every input. Despite the fact that such a genre was made for the keyboard, the game is actually for all types of players.

Different controls are supported whether you are a PC player or an OG console player. Maybe you want to convert your Diablo controls to better mirror a PlayStation controller, or maybe you just want unique controls to your playstyle.
You can change the controls and button layout in Diablo 4 by heading to the Options menu.Press the escape buttonwhile in the game or in the main menu.Head to Options and then select Controlsat the top of the screen.
In this menu, you can see all of your button inputs for your keyboard and mouse or your controller. By hovering over each button option, the right sidebar will provide a description of what each input does.
Changing your input buttons allows you to play through the game at a quicker succession or to adjust toa playstyle that better suits your comfort.
Both the keyboard and controller layout settings give you the option tocombine the interact button and your basic attack.Doing this makes looting and killing even more efficient and quick.
If you need to grind the same area multiple times, you can just use one button to get through everything.
Changing Keyboard Your Layout In Diablo 4
To change a button, click on the rectangle showing the assigned key. Once it is clicked, your next input should be the key you want to change it to. For instance, you would click on “J” beside Journal Panel and then press U on your keyboard to change the input to U instead.
The keyboard bindings settings will allow you to change keys for certain inputs like your abilities and for menus like the Character Menu. Naturally, because a keyboard has more buttons than a controller, there are more binding options.
You can change the input layout for all in-game interactions, any menu settings, and your three Emote wheels. There are even settings for adjusting Chat, all the way at the bottom of this Key Bindings page.
Controller Layout Settings For Diablo 4
There are control settings for a controller as well. The red highlighted tab “Key Bindings” is for the keyboard and mouse.Select the Controller tabbeside it to access the controller layout.
The controller binding settings allow you to adjust yourcamera sensitivity, controller vibration, and to invert your thumb grips. Just like with a keyboard, you can adjust all the buttons for your in-game interaction, including powers, mounting, and teleporting.
The limit to controller button mapping is that you can only change those interaction inputs. The rest of these settings involve System Accessibility, where you skip dialogue using an automated Screen Reader.
