You may have already collected different types of doors with no idea how to actually place them inside your house. The basic door design everyone gets initially is a green door with beige trimming, but does not match most aesthetics, so below you can find out exactly how to customize your door in the game.
Replace Your Door
Changing the type of door you have is actually quite simple. The mechanic is just not explained in the game, or really shown at all. When inside your house,go into Furniture Mode.Select a door and thenselect Replace. This isthe same button that would delete items regularly, but for doors, it does not.
This is the exact same way that you can customize the exterior of your house as well. By selecting your house in Furniture Mode and selecting Replace, you can see what customization options you have available.
Any door that you have purchased or earned will appear on this Replacement screen.You can change every single door in your house, but make note if you actually have enough of that same door by checking the number onthe top corner of the selection screen.
How To Get Doors
You can acquire different types of doors byvisiting Scrooge McDuck’s store. Items on display in the shop willrotate and change daily.You won’t be able to guarantee a door every day, so constantlychecking Scrooge’s store is important.
If you have already purchased a door in the past and want more of the same, you do not have to wait for it to come back in stock. By speaking with Scrooge and selecting the dialogue option, “I want to order something” and then “Furniture”,you can repurchase anything you have previously bought or earned.
Aside from casual shopping, you will also earn door cosmetics sometimes. For instance, the Celestial Door can only be acquired by leveling up your Player Level 17.That is why leveling up villagers' Friendship Level is important. You get rewards out of it if not a loving friendship.
