The creators ofFinal Fantasy 16, Square Enix’s latest in a long line of massive franchise undertakings, made it clear from the get-go that storytelling would be their central focus for the game. And, to be sure, the story of FF16 is spectacular. But Final Fantasy games are known for more than just good tales - there’s usually a wealth of content to engage in, or disengage from, at your leisure.
The choice to beeline the story is always yours to make, but if you’re interested in getting absolutely everything you’re able to out of Clive’s adventure, you’ll want to collect Final Fantasy 16’s trophies. Here’s our primer on how to do just that.
Updated Jun 03, 2025 by Quinton O’Connor:With the arrival of Final Fantasy 16’s first of two DLCs - ‘Echoes of the Fallen’ - this guide’s in need of some added information!
Every Final Fantasy 16 Bronze Trophy
We’ll separate these into three groups, partly because we think three tables are easier on the eyes than one, and partly because we needed an excuse to shove Torgal pics at you. Here’s every bronze trophy in FF16:
Surprisingly, the ‘Echoes of the Fallen’ trophies are all bronze, so this is where our update comes into play. We’re of the opinion that ‘OMG’ ought to have been at least silver, but what do we know…
-
Punisher
Punish ten foes.
This is simply an in-game term for executing ‘Punishing Strikes’ and the like.
You’re Not the Boss of Me
Defeat a boss without taking damage.
You can likely revisit stages via the Arete Stone to pull this off at a higher level if you struggle to achieve it otherwise (which is totally fair).
Made to Be Broken
Defeat 20 enemies while semi-primed.
You won’t unlock the Limit Break until several hours into the story, but once you have, just kill 20 enemies with it active.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeift
Land 15 Shift Strikes and/or Shift Shots.
We might not be 100 percent correct in the number of vowels here.
Never Coming Down
Land Gouge, Wicked Wheel, and Rook’s Gambit in mid-air before landing.
It’s easier than it sounds - you get lots of aerial ‘juggling’ out of these.
Road to Redemption
Lure an enemy into striking a Lightning Rod thrice before it dissipates.
Ditto on Titanic Block, really.
Beat Rocking Blocks
Land the third punch of a Titanic Counter twice in a single battle.
100 mfps
Land 100 total hits with Level Two or higher Megaflare.
Just remember to keep at it until it’s Level Two if you’re grinding for this.
Such Dodge, So Mega
Execute a Precision Dodge three times while charging a single Megaflare.
Oh, Snap!
Inflict Permafrost on ten enemies by perfectly dodging attacks with Cold Snap.
Cold-blooded
Defeat three or more enemies simultaneously frozen using Frostbite, Permafrost, or Diamond Dust.
Land a Level Two or higher Zantetsuken five times.
Yes, Eikon
Master all of an Eikon’s abilities and feats.
You can always reset all your points, spend them all on one Eikon and then reset again to redeploy them as you like.
Upgrade consumable potency and inventory slots to their maximum.
Dressed to the Fives
Craft or upgrade five pieces of gear.
You Can Pet the Dog
Pet Torgal five times.
If you somehow fail at this throughout an entire playthrough, don’t talk to us or our wolf puppy ever again.
A Fine Hound
Execute five Precision Sics.
If you’rereallynot fond of controlling Torgal, know that you will likely get this trophy within minutes if you equip the Ring of Timely Assistance.
Here Be Rosfields
Visit all areas on the local and world maps.
In this context, ‘areas’ means obelisks. You need to stand close enough to activate every obelisk.
A Crystal Darkly
Brave the dusk.
You’ll need to reach ‘Back to their Origin’, the beginning of the final story mission. You’ll also need to complete both Joshua’s and Jill’s endgame side quest chains.
The Only Way Is Up
Enter the Spire.
Another easy one - watch the cutscenes until you’re at the start of the Sagespire in ‘Echoes of the Fallen’.
Repercussion
Silence the echoes.
Finish the Sagespire dungeon. This includes defeating the boss at the top, though it can be a normal mode run.
Bit Fit
Obtain all Fallen Bits.
We’ll aim to have a guide up on the locations of every Fallen Bit ASAP.
OMG
Defeat Omega on ‘Final Fantasy’ mode.
This will be the toughest fight in Final Fantasy 16, at least unless ‘The Rising Tide’ ends up topping it.
Hunter, Hunted
Clear the entire Hunt Board.
This one is going to take a good amount of your time, and it will be easier on a first run if you’re planning on engaging in Final Fantasy mode.
For the Hoard
Collect every curiosity.
Despite the wording, you won’t need every last curiosity. The ones that don’t display on the Wall of Memories won’t count toward completion.
Half Past Twilight
Craft the Gotterdammerung
In order to acquire the right materials for this powerful weapon, you will need to partake in many side quests, and - especially - mark hunts.
Careful Whisper
Collect all items from patrons.
You’ll spend the Renown currency on items from the Patron’s Whisper. You won’t begin to accrue this until roughly halfway through the story.
Masterclass
Upgrade all feats and abilities to maximum.
Don’t fret over this during your first run. You’ll need a second one to achieve it.
Falling Star
Complete the main quest.
Needless to say, you’ll get this at the end of your first playthrough.
Fantasy, Finally
Replay the full game via Final Fantasy mode.
This is a (significantly) higher difficulty unlocked the first time you finish the story. As such, you will need a minimum of two playthroughs for it.
And, as is always the case with trophy lists, you’ll acquire the Platinum trophy after all Bronze, Silver, and Gold trophies. It’s called’The Chronicler', and congratulations if you pull it off!
